all this talk of trying to get a new ruckman to our club has got me thinking. James Blake is out of favour with geelong and may become an option especially with our psp. Not sure what people think of him but he is young and developing. Some times players need a new start and maybe melbourne can provide this. Im not conviced he will be a good player but if we could get him for nothing it might be an option

I think newton is contracted for one more year so trade him to the dogs for nothing. The dogs would just have to pick up his contract. Its a long shot but would free up a spot on our list a we would get rid of that dud a year earlier.

Thanks for your discription of scully. Like many people on this site the only footage we see of scully is the old videos from last year. I can see how people can make an Assumption on him from these videos that is not entirely correct. I must admit i have had my doubts on him from doing exactly this. The problem with these short highlights pakages is exactly that, there highlights and don't give you an overall picture of what the player can do. You cant judge from the small amount of footage you get, whether a player has a great engine or there ability to run to the right postions. The only way you can know this is by watching him play, by following him round the park with little intrest in the game. We should reserve our judgement for people that have actully put the effort and time into watching a certain player

I think jones might struggle to get a game in the midfield over the next few years. He is a hard in and under type player and i think moloney and mclean(when fit) are better players than him. Grimes, sylvia and even pettard are going to be in the mix and then if we get lucky, scully and trengove. Its going to be pretty competitive in there. Haven't even mentioned the outside mids like morton, blease, bennell, davey etc...

Bailey did not cheat yesterday-He used the game wisely to gauge more information about future player positions. Stop insinuating that some form of cheating took place agree that we didn't cheat but come on mate, gauging information about future player postions. Your not on the match commitee are you?

Nothing is wrong with trying new players but its a fine line between list manegenment and tanking. Carlton in 07 crossed that line. I supose we find out over the next few weeks if melbourne have the curry to cross that line. I hope they do!

Agree. From what i have seen of trengove he could quite easily become a better footballer than scully. Larger body and more exsplosive. Thats my question mark on scully, does he have the body to be a player of the likes of judd or ablett!

Really agree with your first coment but cant agree on maric. I have been hoping to see a bit from him since he arrived but to date not much has really impressed me. Turned the ball over frequently and couldn't get into the game for long enough. Agree he could be a good player but is one that needs to lift
