Given that Misson would want to compare it back against the previous clubs he's worked at (including Sydney who wouldnt have done their time trails at Princess Park), it makes perfect sense that we are using a standardised distance rather than the arbitrary 3.183k track. -
Taylor had input in 2012. Given I got lambasted for stating my source last time ill just leave it at that.

Ok lets assume I made it up then and move on with the fact that we got a ripping player and paid unders. Less worry and more Christmas cheer guys. -

Harrington said at a recent lunch that Toumpas was part of the Hogan/Barry/Viney deal. Its no mistake that he fell to us, he's a far better player than O'Rourke if his hips hold up. A ripping result though. -

Barry taking on Tapscott.. good luck with that son !!! lol Closer to a tackle than Davey has been in years..... -
Olisik. Im almost certain that if you are ever positive it is one of the seven signs of the apocalypse.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JIMMY TOUMPAS

This is becoming laughable. Toumpas could quite conceivably be the best player from this draft, his ceiling is huge. Wines is a great competitor, a hard worker and to some degree you know what you are getting in 2013, but the calls to overlook the widely rated number 2 pick at number 4 is nuts. Toumpas wins his own ball, is super quick, a great kick and has many many more tricks than Wines. Complete MFCSS, trying to admit defeat before even challenged. -

So with Davey washed up, Clark not a mid, Dunn is a good field kick????, Strauss cusp best 22 (though hopefully making steps). I think we can agree we need better kicks. -

WBD would be all over Menzel if he got that far. Dont see him getting to 14. Grundy likely to be the big slide, bigger still if PTA pass on him. -
We should invent a PM system so that people who want to pick at each other like children can do so and not derail threads!

All this from a comment about his arms....god we love Jack. As an aside I presume anyone calling for us to pick someone else at pick 1 isnt referring to NicNat because he made it abundantly clear in interviews that he was staying in WA, that any Vic club that took him could also pay for his family to be relocated for the term of his first contract and that he would be returning to WA at the end. So I assume youd prefer maybe Hill, Hartlett, Sidebottom, Hurley......few good candidates in there, but lets just rid ourselves of the fantasy that we would have retained NicNat. -
Not sure of your point here mate. Chappy played very few games in his first few years. 2000 : 4 , 2001 : 9 for a total of 22 marks in two seasons. Luke has played 29 games (2011 : 15, 2012 : 14) for 102 marks (source is footywire). Now, granted I dont remember Chappies first 22 marks but unless they were half back with the flight and Tappy has been solely getting the loose ball, then I think you may well be generalising when looking solely at the first two years of there careers (which was your comparison). Given Chapman has been around a decade longer it may be too early for comparisons.

Pitty, re Bartram I spoke to him at our last home game and he indicated that he hoped to be back running by Christmas. He wasnt very sure where that would put him Rd 1 but he believed he was a chance. -
Dangerously on topic but I would have thought Clark had enough on his plate getting his foot right, getting fit for Rd1 and playing the position / role Neeld wants without thrusting captaincy on him. I agree that he has mongrel and leadership to burn (along with his skills), and maybe down the track he ends up a captain, but for the time being I dont see the advantage.

HUN suggesting both likely to be available as GWS seem poised to take Plowman. The Giants' hunch on Lachie Plowman could poise the Dogs and Dees to cash in at the draft Interesting.
