  1. In addition to this, I thought Friday's final was VERY poorly attended by Swans fans 🤣 https://www.roymorgan.com/findings/9029-afl-supporter-ladder-april-2022-202207260047
  2. I've read up to the start of the Daniher era. Wonderful book. Some nice anecdotes that I haven't heard of either.
  3. We are dying a death of 1000 cuts this year. The little things that went for us last year, are going against us this year. - Injury - Covid - Unstable side - Steven May incident - Loading Fatigue - General Fatigue - Being the hunted
  4. Only the best memories of Sean Wight. He is remembered at the Heritage Golf club with this plaque for an albatross!
  5. I bought GA tickets to Geelong vs Melb here a few weeks ago from this link https://www.ticketmaster.com.au/geelong-cats-v-melbourne-south-geelong-07-07-2022/event/25005C72B8A92739
  6. @binmanDees were excellent tonight, but I also thought we were on the end of "reverse loading". ie Brisbane might be going through their own high intensity training. Brisbane barely got out of a walk after half time and were absolutely cooked - we should have won by 100+ points. I wonder if we tapered off for the last week or so given we had lost 3 in a row, had lots of key injuries and external issues (ie May). Goodwin and Yze definitely used the words "refresh" in the media this week. The result suggests we did. If we did taper off, what affect does that have on us down the track? The return game will be very interesting.
  7. Well you could be right, last season was a very long one, and while we breezed through our finals, by all reports we trained HARD in those six weeks in Adelaide/Perth. We could just be out of puff. Time will tell. The effect of having an unsettled side is underestimated. The ins/outs this year is no comparison to last year. It's quite extraordinary that we got to 10-0.
  8. Yup trying to conserve full stop. At the ground it's very obvious in the last 3 games that we have been running on the spot in the second half. And it triggers a knock on that affects everything we are trying do. Petracca has looked gassed for a while, he must be carrying something, last year no one could stop him with a tackle, he's getting caught all the time now. An interesting month ahead.
  9. @binman A perfect storm of loading, an unsettled side and punch ons in french restaurants has appeared to beleaguer the club. Did you notice in the third quarter we seemed to really want to ice the clock (short passes)? I also noticed that Gawn was warming up on the bench toward the end of the third term, but then as we managed to hold the pies at that point he went back to sitting on the bench. Would it be a fair observation to say that we were trying to hold Collingwood in that 3rd quarter for a last roll of the dice in the last? Loading, loading, loading. We have a hard run home, hopefully this calculated program pays off
  10. If anyone watched the Amazon Series "making their mark" Leon Cameron came out of that looking like a fairly man manager to be honest. I'm not surprised the giants haven't done better.
  11. It's still hard to believe what I am reading!
  12. Yep, it's over. A new chapter to be written.
  13. Well I guess WatchAFL would be cheaper and it's basically Foxfooty on demand. I definitely watched it using a VPN (set to a USA location) from Australia last year - no idea about this year. Also used it from overseas for years prior to 2020.
  14. Yes it can. (as of 2020, they might have cracked down recently), but if you're in Oz you might as well get Kayo
  15. Get there early. We went at 5:30 today. The staff said if we had been 15 minutes earlier there wasn't a queue. Still we only had 5-10 people in front of us. Queue much longer after that point in time. Museum is pretty cool actually.
  16. oh excellent reference - "it's only $20 per person"
  17. Jeez the days of easily getting a drink at the bar are long gone...
  18. I haven’t noticed, I’m still watching replays 😆
  19. I think the Club did well to win over the people of Perth. I had an eagles supporting friend who was living in Melb, but decided to return to WA (his home state) due to the pandemic. I gave him my members barcode for the GF on the condition he go for the dees that night. I saw him in a photo on Facebook with a demons cap on. If the shoe was on the other foot I would not be seen dead in Eagles or Dockers gear 😆.

  22. Fantastic! Who got the footy Tmac kicked into the crowd?!
  23. It's a miracle. And Allen Jakovich's legend status grows with the interview he did with Garry Lyon on fox sports post game 😆. A must watch! Accidently drops an F-bomb and when asked by Garry Lyon how many he would have kicked on the night, he said "I would have kicked 9 tonight!"
