I suspect that his 3 years comments were lip-service. Surely, he knew that there would be a significant turn over of the list over the coming three years. He is now faced with a largely inexperienced list that he then has to get up to speed again. If PJ and co deem Misson isn't doing his job, then fine, but until then we've bigger fish to fry.

Agreed, mate. Happy to see all those mentioned depart. We need to keep building our midfield. We're gonna need to pay for it. I'd offer Danger a front-loaded 5 year contract at $1.5mill. I'd also trade future picks to GWS for Treloar and offer him $800,000 at 7 years front-loaded. I'd then put an offer to Hogan mid next year of 10 years at $1.7mill a year. We have to be bold. All draft picks should be up for grabs and in a weak draft year, we should be targeting current AFL players. A graders only. Easier said than done.

They will. I reckon we'll get 30,000 and if we start well we'll get 35,000, but ending the season so abysmally will have ramifications on next year, rightly or wrongly.

Harmes also kicked it on the full when he should have got it into Hogan. And on this, Harmes needs a spell. He makes too many errors.

Doesn't have much to work with, but our set ups do worry me and our ability or lack of ability to spread is very concerning. I become more concerned with every passing week.

Thought Hogan was incredibly ordinary today. The delivery wasn't great, but the amount of times he dropped sitters having got into position, killed us. His two early misses were costly too. Without him dominating, we really struggle (with the Geelong game the exception).

Salem was hopeless (and I love him as a player), but how brilliant was Brayshaw bursting through that pack in the third or fourth and getting the ball on to a team mate, who then proceeded to drop it and get tackled. Really like ANB as a player and Stretch gets into some good positions and has a bit of toe, which we obviously desperately need. As for Newton, he fails to run both ways. Love Crossy, but he was horrible today. I don't remember many if any effective touches. He turned it over constantly and made poor decisions, the latter of which is very unusual for him. He's very much loved amongst the playing group. I'd be very careful with a trade like that. I just think he shouldn't be captain. Unfortunately, at the moment, we've no one better. IMO, it's the root of our problems and failure as a club to climb the ladder past 12th position. Look at every other club in the AFL (and I mean every other club) and they have leaders, experienced players who lead the way. We simply don't. Yep. Spot on, I'm afraid.

No, I think we made the opposition play poorly. I can honestly say we've improved under Roos and we've made progress this year, but our back end of the year has been really disappointing. Who the hell knows what to expect from us? We could just as easily come out next week and win. Bloody hopeless.

You're not going to get an apology that's going to mean anything. They've been apologising for weeks and saying they won't take their opponents lightly and then they dish up disgusting first quarter performances. And barely give a yelp for the rest of the match.

Our best can still beat 14 other sides. Our worst will see us lose to 17 teams. Nothing has changed since last week on that front. I fear for membership next year though and it's unlikely we'll be able to attract many (if any) decent recruits. On the back of the last two weeks, I worry it's completely shattered our otherwise promising chances of landing a few decent players.

I'd be cleaning out others before Michie. Was probably our best today. Bail, McKenzie, M Jones, Jamar, Grimes, Garland and Howe should be out the door before him. He is on the fringe though.

I said I wouldn't get shat on today, because we had absolutely no luck. Turns out my team shat on me instead.

I was sitting in the MCC as always today and there seemed to be very little anger directed towards the players. Our players get off scot free. If we had supporters like Carlton, Collingwood or Essendon, they'd get booed off. It signals that the supporters won't tolerate the insipidness any longer. I've read before on Demonland certain posters decry this as an alternative, but I'm sick of us as a supporter base just bending over and copping it. We need to illustrate a bit of passion. Our players get off so lightly. We've had to sit through it for the last decade. No other club would accept it.

Obviously, this would be a dream. Dangerfield and Bennell, let alone Tomlinson. Not going to happen though unfortunately.

He is a lazy, self-interested footballer with questionable disposal and ordinary decision making. He has one trick. One.

I counted 4 direct turn overs from Howe that resulted in goals. Get him out the door quickly. He's a dumb footballer. Unfortunately, so are Dunn, Garland, Grimes and despite being a keeper, Tommy Mac. So many bad decision makers and disposers. We can no longer carry them all. It didn't help Salem was horrible today as I think he'll be a great help off half back.

As I said. Low ball him and if he takes the contract offer, look to trade him out.

Jones, Vince, Dunn, Garland. These are your leaders. All played like they were scared of making a mistake or didn't want to be there. A disgraceful, abhorrent effort. There's no pride in the jumper or seemingly even personal pride. The lack of effort for the majority of the match is unacceptable. Poor old PJ has an up hill battle next year with membership. I've already renewed mine, but I no longer begrudge those who don't.
