  1. Dunn's another without any leadership credentials. You must kick that
  2. Still doesn't quite have the speed of the game yet, but Salem straightens us up so well. Hoping we can get within 4 goals here.
  3. That was [censored] deplorable Vince. Not a leadership bone in your body.
  4. Why do our midfielders all set up on the wrong side of every contest? Think Melbourne. Cannot believe our coaches haven't addressed this since quarter time.
  5. Apathy is my friend again. Our team continues to [censored] all over our club.
  6. What an atrocious quarter from Jones. Fourth week in a row he's playing like a mug.
  7. Haha Dwayne just said Hogan's not signed up yet. What an idiot.
  8. Reckon we'll get within 4 and if they're not switched on we could snatch a memorable win.
  9. I'll back the club on this one. Thought he was gone. Congrats, Jimmy.
  10. Reckon Hogan will stay put for the forseeable future. He'll be with us until at least 2020, IMO. If we can have a sustained period of success anywhere during that time, he'll remain a demon for life. I get that we need to win games and climb the ladder to retain him, but we'll be knocking on the door of the 8 next year, in his second full season, and he'll be playing finals by his third season. He'd take that I reckon.
  11. I'd be pillaging Gold Coast this year. Prestia, McKenzie, Bennell and I wouldn't say no to Hall either.
  12. I place some importance on those first couple of AFL games he played, where he was playing in the undisputed worst football side in VFL/AFL history and was pummelled consistently. He had no leaders to look up to and we barely won. He had Mark Neeld for a coach and instability and meddling from the FD and admin. Some players like Jones can cut through all the crap and still become a good player. Other players simply can't. Toumpas may be alright at another club, but he needs a fresh start.
  13. I'm not making this point to have a go at Roos. I'm saying our supporters have every right to be cheesed off with our insipidness over the past decade and it explains why supporters jump up and down. Roos is the only one making references to the past and has just stopped doing so within the past fortnight, before that it was the excuse almost every week. If you think the supporters are the weakest link here then you're clearly showing your lack of football nous. Further, if you can't see that Roos is using the supporter base as a deflector for his team's poor performances, then you're not as smart as you think you are.
  14. He improved this year too. He was brilliant against the Dogs adn Cats earlier in the season.
  15. Geez you have a narrow mind and a penchant for horrible comparisons. Are you seriously comparing a club that has won three flags in the past 8 years to us, a club that has barely been out of the bottom 4 in 8 years? Geelong are in rebuild and Scott will be granted slightly more time than an MFC coach for obvious reasons.
  16. What I really like about this is that it's a very young list. We'd only have to replace about 5 players over the next five 3 to 4 years. Plus, we'd need to fill those 5 question marks. Two more draft/trade/FA periods should get us the majority of those players and after that, it'll just be a case of ensuring we have good deoth and any non performers are shown the door. Gold Coast's McKenzie, Bennell and Prestia would be a good start with three of those question marks.
  17. Lacking vision with this post, unless of course you're being facetious.
  18. From 40 out directly in front, he's kicked many, many more than he's missed and I'd prefer it in his hands than any other demon.
  19. Jon Ralph is a pretty ordinary writer and I can't remember him breaking a single story earlier than anyone else. He's a lightweight, but he's in good company. There aren't many good football writers left.
  20. Disagree. Generally, Watts is probably our best set shot for goal. I know that's not saying much, but he's usually really reliable. Over the last month, every Melbourne player has been abysmal in front of goal. Watts has missed a few, but equally he's kicked a few set shots too.
  21. Kent isn't a good kick. I've heard this so many times before on Demonland, but half the time he kicks floaters. Occasionally, he can kick beautifully long, but he struggles to do it consistently.
  22. Seems like a lovely kid, but I've made my peace with Toumpas not making it. We move on. I think he'll be traded at year's end.
