Delistings/trades at end of the season
Adam The God replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agreed, but I think they'll want someone else to allow Salem to eventually play in the midfield. -
Do we have to go over this every time, hh? I know you change your tune at the drop of a hat, but Prestia is easily an A grader. Maybe check out YouTube for a few clips as that seems to be how you judge players.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA
Adam The God replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Well, no, not all of us are going on some YouTube clips. I have seen Petracca's clips online, but I wanted to know from someone who has actually watched him play, ideally multiple times. -
Jack's back (Trengove, that is)

G'day, stick in the mud. -
Sydney can trade players out.

Delistings/trades at end of the season

It'll be really interesting to see who we get this off season to play off half back. Will they go with just pace again (H) or will they go for elite skills (McKenzie)? Obviously, a mixture of both would be great. I've no doubt they've identified this area of the ground as severely lacking. -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 19
Adam The God replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Vanders was ordinary against St Kilda, but brilliant last week. He really sets the tone and his hardness is so important. A big loss this weekend. Hope Gus and Viney can pick up some of the slack. -

I haven't seen him play. Would you compare him to someone like Stringer? -
Jack's back (Trengove, that is)

I really see him as the natural replacement for Daniel Cross, but with better skills. I'd give Crossy one or two more years and then Trenners will take his place (hopefully). -
Prestia for Howe everyday of the week.

All the important players are re-signing. Only Howe (a limited player) is refusing to at this stage.

Drop him. No need for mugs.

Delistings/trades at end of the season

Once again. Was saying he wasn't worth it. Would much prefer Heppell or Carlisle. Wouldn't touch them though with bans looming. -

Yeah, that's not really point being made. The DE stat is one of the most useless stats in footy. Tells you pretty much nothing. -

We'd have to give up too much for him and Heppell is a better player. He's a little overrated for mine too. -

Carlisle, Heppell, Zaharakis and probably Hurley are the only guys I'd touch on their list, but ultimately I wouldn't risk any of them. NOTE: I understand Zaharakis isn't one of those potentially facing a ban. -
I hope he'll have a bit of competition/partners in crime to the crown, but it's great to see him playing consistent footy. He really is starting to look like he has more time with the ball in hand.

Well, I think that'll be the plan, mate. We won't be giving up our first pick for a B grader, HH. It'll go on an A grader.

RIP Robbie Flower - Sad Passing of a True Champion
Adam The God replied to KLV's topic in Melbourne Demons
Brings a tear to my eye. Brilliant. RIP Robbie. -
Can anyone remember the last time we asserted ourselves physically? It's been a long time. I liked it.

People are overreacting. I mentioned his low tackle count in conjunction with another post. No one's perfect and I don't like the idea that anyone gets a free pass on the tackle front. If the game is more congested than ever, everyone should be able to lay at least one per game. That's not to say he doesn't chase though. Further, this doesn't take away from the fact that he's had a phenomenal first season and I'm incredibly excited about him.

What I was disappointed to see from Vanders upon watching the replay the other day, was that he actually apologised straight away for the tackle on Pendles. I want us to play unsociable, tough footy. Don't apologise, just go them and shake hands later. I like that Jones seemed to sense Pendlebury was sore and went for him.

Max will re-sign. Just be patient.

Totally different game nowadays. You need everyone tackling. It's okay to have areas to work on. He needs to work on his tackling pressure.
