  1. I love how those who have lost trust in the admin are being painted. Oh, you're just suffering from MFCSS if you don't sit around clapping a dressed up update. Pert's been in the job five years and we've managed a 12 month feasibility study. It's not MFCSS, it's MFCFMD.
  2. The holes are that it might not go ahead, and that's already the murmurs. Meanwhile, the feasibility study now gives way to a business case phase, which surely should have been apart of the last 12 months of [censored] around on the feasibility study...
  3. That's the problem though. Pert's given himself another year by releasing a statement that has potentially had holes poked in it within 12 hours.
  4. I like Draper, I just unfairly don't consider him as he's a South Aussie, so let's go for the Victorian kid. That's my thinking anyway.
  5. What can Reid do that Smith can't?
  6. I don't see it, but we all see it differently.
  7. Just doesn't do it for me. Low production, no real elite traits that I can see, not sure what his x factor is. Moves a bit like Trac, but has little hurt factor.
  8. I'm sitting with: 1. Jagga Smith - the next Butters and the perfect complement to Clarry, Trac and Viney. 2. Harvey Langford - good accumulator, great mark and kick. 3. Sam Lalor - Bit worried about his hammies. 15-20. Cooper Hynes - got Chad Warner speed and power from the contest, and can get it done in the forward half.
  9. At least Clarry's not avoiding paying his child support...
  10. Would love Aleer. Is going to be a very good player.
  11. They absolutely will, that's their go to.
  12. Yeah, Nibbler basically plays/played as a third winger, with a greater licence to join in on offence. I don't think we want Spargo in the midfield rotation @dazzledavey36, I'd prefer we go after a Jagga Smith, who has moved into number 1 target spot for us IMO. Play Charlie between high half forward, wing and deep forward. Charlie getting to the foot of contests like he did in 2018 and 2021 inside 50 made him a dangerous small. Needs to do the same again. I do have concerns about his fitness though given the long lay off. Let's hope he's back on the track soon.
  13. So that's $20-25mill from the $32mill(?) sale of the Bentleigh Club? Of course, we'd have hopefully generated significant return on that from speculation in financial markets and interest, but that's a large amount to sink into the project, I'm sure it can't he helped though and the Caulfield asset gain will outstrip holding the Bentleigh Club.
  14. Look back over Gus' possession count for 2021. Spargo played the defensive wing. It was about covering and trying to provide an outlet going forward. I want to use Spargo's aerobic capacity and his ball use, and maximise Windsor's damage as a half back ball user and line breaker. This is the compromise you have to make when you don't land Houston. We need faster and better ball users off half back. I'd also like to give Windsor 2 or 3 CBAs occasionally to get him used to it.
  15. Yep, I'd heard ours would require similar funding, great news if not, but remains to be seen.
  16. What are we talking though? I had previously heard tens of millions...
  17. Spargo played some wing in 2022-2023 to good effect IMO.
  18. Definitely trade the future first for mine.
  19. What is this based on? The business case is to come. There should be multiple co-financing avenues with the multiple racing clubs, MCC, state, federal and even local govs, the AFL and our own cash injections, but this is a commercial team that struggled to get a short's sponsor for a team that had finished top 4 three years in a row and won a flag. As for MFCSS, it's actually just a lack of trust now sullied over multiple years by the administration, nothing to do with the football side of things. At least not for me.
  20. I'm sure I'm not the only one that is super deflated by this. I don't trust their economic nous either to bring the financing puzzle together.
  21. If we went with Owies, we could play Spargo on the non Langdon wing and play Windsor between half back and midfield.
  22. This is like @WERRIDEEs post in the other thread RE Goody. He kicks goals. They're handy in football.
  23. I'm not convinced Hunter has a year left. And I'd be staggered if he's on the list next year.
  24. He might be worth a spot, but I'd rather treat TMac as the back up or the guy who starts 2025 in the best 23 and look to push someone like a Riak Andrew through there by the end of the year.
