  1. I can't see Carlton getting him. Everyone is so sure because of their draft picks and money. But the problem is they are a shambles on the field atm. Why would he want to go there? In saying that, I can't see us getting him either. I guess it's just years of disappointment and being let down and getting my hopes up that reassure me it's not going to happen.
  2. I'd settle for AFL Domination but the more the better! PS. See Stewie on the Emmy's last night???
  3. It's not just about being brilliant. I think Brock plays for the jumper not for celebrity status like some players. He's had a bad year. But so did the MFC.
  4. That's one hell of a victory... But you made one mistake... Jud plays for Carlton apparently.
  5. From the afl website: http://afl.com.au/Season2007/News/NewsArti...px?newsId=51240 Hmmm... <_<
  6. Jaded - what incentives do Carlton have?
  7. Arghhh, can't watch it; on a mac :s
  8. Red Sox style, down in the Prelim, 50 points at half time. Judd has been benched since early in the 1st with a hammy. Shot and gone entering 3rd. Judd returns, leads us to victory. Smash it in the GF easily by 10 goals, Judd BOG. I'm about 5km's ahead of myself right now...
  9. I think the PC is over now isn't it?
  10. Someone over at Big Footy (not necessarily the best place to look at for quotes or opinions) said that it might be a change in fate; Barrassi leaving Melbourne in 1965 ala Judd leaving WC in 2007. New coach, new superstar player. I don't want to get my hopes up because being a Melbourne supporter means shot dreams, but gee, wouldn't it be grand...?
  11. http://www.afl.com.au/Default.aspx?tabid=2...mp;newsId=51204 That's Judd's way of pretty much saying "Give up Carlton." He isn't going there. I think that right now, Collingwood, Essendon and Melbourne have the best chance of getting him, Collingwood and Essendon because of finances and Melbourne because of his support before he went to WC. I think we really have a very good chance of getting this kid...
  12. I have a feeling he will nominate 2 clubs, or 3 at the very most, and that Melbourne will be one of them. I agree that wearing number 3, new coach and MCG is attractive to him.
  13. Pick 4, Robbo, CJ, Jeff White and Bruce. That's what would get Judd here, financially and by what WC would want.
  14. CB and CJ won't cover Judd's contract. Trade rejected.
  15. That still wouldn't cover the "cost". We'd need to throw in the pick, Robbo, someone like Davey or Sylvia and then a Dunn imo. WC wouldn't accept any less unless they get desperate.
  16. I agree when you saying that Lyon may have influence in getting him to Melbourne (which won't happen). He seems to be the character that everyone loves. I'm sure many of you remember when Farmer almost left Melbourne to return to Perth and Lyon was apparently the main figure in getting him back. I have no doubt that had Lyon had more influence with Melbourne at the time of his depature he may not have even left (Farmer). In saying that, Judd won't be at Melbourne next year or ever, unless he makes it clear he only wants to play for us. I have a feeling the guy knows where his loyalty lies and it is killing him to say he wants to come home. I think it is possible he will come out and say he wants to play for us, and I don't think he would choose Carlton on Collingwood over us to be honest.
  17. I just got back from the Greek Islands and Ibiza. I have to say, as soon as they here an Australian or American accent, you're automatically hated. Plus, you have to look at the fact that these are three tall, well built men who probably had women all over them. I can't count on my fingers how many altercations I got into with Italians, Spaniad's and German's while I was over there.
  18. I'd take McMahon and a 2nd round pick for Robertson in a flash. Make it happen!
  19. We should pick up Paul Licura in the PSD when Collingwood de-list him. That'll up our toughness.....
  20. My guess is you don't live in Melbourne????
  21. You have to say that the last three REALLY dominant teams in one season over the past decade or so have been Carlton (95 - 2 losses), Essendon (2000 - 1 loss) and Geelong this year. Yeah, the Lions and Eagles dominated for a bit, but moreso in finals than in the finals. They were beatable, where as the three teams I just mentioned had been close to unbeatable throughout the season. My point? All three had exceptional backlines. No, I'll rephrase that. An OUTSTANDING backline.
