St Kilda lifted their game big time. Nothing more, nothing less. Saints were going to answer eventually, and they did. The good news is that we held on and steadied as we have a few times this year.

Liked him today. Contested well and brought the ball down. No surprise that the likes of ANB and Harmes got a spark with Weideman and Pedo crashing packs. Kicking goals and taking marks isn't a KPI for him atm. He needs to be a target and needs to contest at every aerial contest forward of centre. Suspect he'll play out the year.

I watch a lot of Richmond because my family is split 50/50 and as dumb as Richmond supporters are, they are correct in that thet really do cop it, and have for years. Umpires always seem to murder them. It's funny but also tragic. On the flip side, the Bulldogs always seem to get the rub of the white/yellow/green, dating back to the 80s. We've always been the middle ground. Few games this year where we got a good run with the umps.

Saints want finals so bad. You can tell. We are going through the motions.

We were good in the first, okay in the 2nd. Saints pressure and run was superb that quarter. We are still inefficient going forward. Saints by 4 goals.

Saints will run away with this. Leadership has gone missing, nothing from Garlett or Petracca, pressure has dropped off. Just can't see us getting up for it. They dominated us more that quarter than we have any time this game.

Their 3 goals have all come from some shocking free kicks up the field.

They have all the run atm.

They're going with an isolated forward line but once we get it out we stream forward well. They are banking on their forward out marking ours.

Umpiring has been ridiculous both ways. Regardless, we've fallen asleep.

Weeds pressure and contest is all we could hope for. He will get there.

He's an elite pressure player who forces players to fumble just by the way he defends space.

I really like Weeds. That last bit was okay but he needs to learn to take advantage. He marked and Saints players ran off him. He could have ran into goal. He's contested well.

Harmes has stepped up.

That must be our first contested mark in the F50 in weeks.

Probably the calmest I've been before a game for a while. Not because I think we'll win but because after the North loss I decided that using my energy is a waste and I'm just setting myself up for a ruined weekend. If we win it's a bonus. If we lose it can't be any worse than what we've had to put up with the last decade. That's the way I look at it. I'm sicking of holding the club to account and to see if they'll pass my "tests". It's not worth the energy.
