Free to Air TV Losing Money and Shedding Jobs - What does that mean for footy?
It'll pick up as more cable networks move to F2A like Nickelodeon has and how Sky News has on Samsung TV. Once Paramount, HBO/WB etc start expanding their F2A/advertising options It'll push people back to commercial television. It's in a transitional period atm. The subscription model is buckling under the weight of options and cost of living crisis. People turned their back on piracy in favour of convenience as more options became available at an affordable price. Now with everyone raising prices people are going back to piracy. We'll go full circle in the next decade. We'll have 50+ F2A channels by the end of the decade.

Food at the Footy
I went to a Brooklyn Nets and a Knicks game and the quality of food at both venues was mindblowing. I got slow cooked beef brisket, tacos, loaded hot dogs... and nothing over $8 US.

Food at the Footy
The awful Gami chicken offerings in AFL Reserve was replaced by another awesome fried chicken joint run by the same catering company that does the other foot shops. The chicken and burgers there are awesome. Problem is they only open if the crowd is 40k+.

"Very sore" Max Gawn in doubt for next Saturday vs Essendon
Looking at our next opponent, Goldstein is out and Draper is their main ruck with Wright playing the same role as JVR. We will badly miss Gawn's presence around the ground but we can cover the pure ruck role by bringing in Fullerton. It is a very obvious 1:1. If he can't get a game with Gawn out then god help him. They will definitely look to exploit us down back and target Wright and Langford one out against May as much as possible. I would think we also probably need to bring in Tomlinson in now if Petty isn't back. Not sure who misses.

Jake Melksham returning
If people remember back to last year he was having a similar patch of poor form in the middle of the year and everyone here was calling for him to be dropped. He turned it around quickly and become our most dangerous forward while Fritsch was out. Fritsch will turn it around and Melksham adds much needed depth. I'd bring him back in via Casey for the run. We need him to end the year. He will also free up Chandler a bit and attract another roaming defender because he plays taller than he is. Very important to our structure.

PREGAME: Rd 17 vs West Coast
Can someone explain something to me. I am trying to get a ticket for my daughter to attend her first game. It's supposed to be free for kids.. but I am still being charged a processing fee. Is this right? Is there another way to get a ticket and avoid the fee? I know it's only $3 but seems so pointless.
