  1. Yep. utility defender, imo. Hore might be a perfect-match for Watssup. ? Could give him a touchup, at the same time as giving him the runaround. Wheres Greg 'good' Evans... whenever he's needed ! .
  2. Maybe time as a rookie might help shakeout the talent, and desire ?
  3. Well done Demonland... you have all done a great job, IMO. Every image is of a player who has put in the hard yards, and has come out ontop. Fantastic seeing the Jet up there.
  4. Too close to Asia ? Why is the West worse than the East ? In off-field footy terms ?
  5. I agree. now we've built our platform Melbourne style of hard at it contested footy. We do not need to change away from this, but rather add better and better skilled players along the pathway, doing the same style. Growth via culture, and attrition, as players overtake one another, for spots. But the old NoN-Negotiable is ??? ... contested footy. physical play. effort.
  6. Yes 'hw'. some nervous tension is a good thing, as long as its not what I used to get... too much Nervous tension was unbearable. Often we'll see teams with nervous tension, in the first 5 mins making mistakes, getting in one another's way... but once settled they usually take over the game. No nervous tension often shows itself in teams, "that didn't turn up to play"
  7. 'dnimd'... relax is what we do not want, as a club... we want a little anxiety, going into games. all games. to give us a little edge in our approach.
  8. One of my favourite players, back in those days. Perty.
  9. If so, we've all got No,No,No, No hope... none, with that Rabbot. By the way is he a dual citizen... maybe we can jettison him into some sort of orbit ??? back to Britain.
  10. Yes, I like it. It can be forgotten in the pre-season, those we have lost... and those who were taken, so early. Vale`... Ian Thorogood & 'Col'... Sylvia.
  11. Its almost worth buying one for the grannie access.
  12. Hah... I never thought it but its a relief... maybe the big smile I got from that video... or from the signing. ? but the vision of the close-knit camaraderie is heart warming.
  13. nah you worded OK. But the irreverence is for 'Wattshisface'... and his pure lack of commitment to the game, after many have tried so hard to help him in his career. I have a friend who is uncommitted to all, but himself.. (not private school)... And if he feels you are not on HIS team, he will try to undermine you, Via others. And has done so. I struggle to understand someone who will not try, or take the challenge to try to improve, when you put it on them,,, but then they will turn on you, and try to discredit you in others minds. Just for daring to ask them to try harder ? My mother had Polio from 8Yrs of age, and she would take us kids to school on the bus (driver having to get off the bus, to help mum up the Bus steps), Her efforts were heroic, I would grow to appreciate. So when you try to help someone... and they just sneakily try to hurt you in return, behind the schemes. is totally foreign to me. ???????? I shake my head with disillusionment.
  14. Yes. Sincere condolences to the extended Thorogood families.
  15. Huh, foot injury hey. ??? I've never believed that, but I am pure cynic, when it comes to AFL media releases. Jesse looks fit... trimmed down in this image at least so maybe he will get better on-field. ?
  16. Oh,,, is there other thoughts circulating. I had not heard. I hope mine isn't infringing, as they were my thoughts alone. #edit: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/fremantle-suspend-jesse-hogan-after-poor-alcohol-choices-and-incident-at-pub-20190318-p515a5.html not sure what other stories there are ?
  17. Is this just another public charade... following his being (asleep) under a table, at some nightclub in Perth. Was he blood tested. Did they find alcohol (cough), in his system ? Is this to do with being under the weather at a Sunday morning training, or is this just another 'Freo Fib'. ! ...................... and now maybe broken ribs ? https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/fremantle-suspend-jesse-hogan-after-poor-alcohol-choices-and-incident-at-pub-20190318-p515a5.html
  18. touchy MD. Do you agree that there is a big percentage of Private school lads, who have a lot of arrogance and self about them ?
  19. And little to No pretense, snobbery. He has his feet on the ground. A lovable guy.
  20. I'm a little anxious about the Cats game... as we'll need be at our top for this game, and I'm not sure we are there yet. The Port game is one we need to click in, Re teamwork. I think we will warm into the season as we go.?
  21. hmmn, interesting.
  22. I would do that trade to bring in Fritta any day of the week. He's a goer, and will get better with the years, as he grows. It's in his blood, and its in his mind, and its in his 'Heart'...
  23. agreed 'Gg'. Especially Tracca... he has further to stand up then Salem does, but both are needed to be more consistent, and impact for longer periods of the games.
  24. Culture. tgr. To move an old ingrained culture, to change it, many old leaders and senior players have to go, for the change to happen. For them to pickup their pieces and rise again, is a credit to them. But we did what was needed, to make the changes happen. And now I think very few people would be upset with our new growing culture.. and mindset. The fabric is totally different since those days.
