  1. Thats was a commitment act. And he is not totally committed, and so is not fully focused, because of it. He will never get any better as long as he does not fully commit to the team and to the game. Tracca thinks far too much about tracca. Mind you, he has a few mates doing similar this season. Fritta is disappointing so far. I think Fritta needs a spell at Casey. He is well off his own standards. I would persevere with Hunt, but push him forward. I would drop Petracca now with Fritta, so they both can sort themir heads out with the VFL. Its time for Keilty, and Stretch again. Keep Lockhart in. Sparra back to Casey. I want to see a quicker running Mfc team next week, against the Bummers.
  2. This is a good time to look for which players continue to fight it out, in this last Qtr... and again next week. To rise to the occasion and fight back for form. Those who turn up their toes in the next 5 Qtrs, can go back to Casey for a month.
  3. They and we, all fell for the positive fugazi during Preseason. And we all made much of the fugazi ourselves, selling ourselves our own hype. The players obviously believed it, and are mentally under-prepared now, and are playing catch-up, Re confidence and also fitness, because I think the Mfc fell into the same trap, as we have.
  4. That is what we are at the moment. Because we had no good form or confidence, coming into the season.
  5. and we wasted a lot more possessions in the 1st. we had it but coughed it up overusing it manically. We showed a bit more composure in the 2nd. And the Cats tired imo, just a little. We can come out hard in the 3rd and even things up.
  6. We warmed into that 2nd Qtr. Still need to wrestle back some more momentum.
  7. KK and lockhart. but we have a lot of players NQR's. and low on confidence. You know Its might almost be worth trying Tracca in defence, to steady the ship using his foot skills, like Watts at Port last week. Throw Hunt forward from the goal square, along with OMc. Omc to draw the long kick in and hunt to do what comes naturally. And have lockhart in there at their feet. Start Weide out around 50, at Half-foward... Or, run Weide at CHB on the Rat.
  8. Petracca's like a beached Minke Whale.
  9. Yep should have had Keilty in instead of OMc.
  10. We are all in too tight inside the contest. We need 2 or 3 in close, and 3 just off the pack to receive or defend space. A bit like when the Saints beat us under Edishat, 3yrs back. Because we are so close together in tight... we're just flipping the ball from one to the other, until we cough it up.
  11. IF GWS disappoint again in 2019, watch the Hume H/Way gates open up.
  12. Be careful with those Tulips, your tippy toeing around Bbo.

  14. I''d be having another nibble at Touk Miller. Keep in contact whispering sweet somethings into his listening ear. Maybe put something onto his headphones flash drive. Also just in case I'd be looking for another hard at it inside mid, just in case... Re jViney.?
  15. When a club keeps getting flop results from the draft, it is either the club is making mistakes with personalities.. and/or the culture & development at the club is woeful, or both. We had both in the 2000's, all 3 actually. Now we have mastered most things, and we are at the pointy end... at this time so far. but we are still missing out on those prepared to back themselves and take risks. I think it is because we look for those who won't make trouble or rock any boats, or windows. Lets throw out the mental profiling at the draft table, because we continually fail at this step... and we walk past the players who make it big. Lets judge the players on their physical weapons and skill-sets... and footy abilities alone, and I reckon we would be doing much better with our results, after 5 or so years of development. And Re Hogan it did not work recruiting a 17yr old kid, on big money and fanfare... who can't even play for further 12 months. We need skilled kids, brought in with little fanfare, so they can develo0p in the shadows, without any hoo-hagh about them or their development, for at least the first 2 years. If they want to be made a fuss of, they will have to earn it first, for themselves.
  16. Yep the difference is in the mental makeup of the person, the mind set, the way they think, x with personality type... and also the depth of self-belief. One type has a take it all on attitude... the other wants to showoff in a quiet corner somewhere, and applaud those that DO. This is the same personality type that we consistently recruited over the generations. The more conservatively minded, sadly. We would be much better NOT looking into their mental makeup at all... instead of recruiting those types who won't get into any mischief. # memo Mfc. Don't do personality tests on our potential recruits... just recruit a lot of talent without profiling them... and then we may well get back to a better strike rate of successes... compared to our past 30 years of recruiting.
  17. Well, if none are leaving... if all pre-Agent '020' are staying home we will have to go to draft. One question 'wwsw'. How can GWS afford to keep them all ?
  18. Hah, good ol telstra, rippin everyone.
  19. HaHa, and with May. Lets hope we all can get a win for one another.
  20. IMO all the top 5 teams of 2018, had the best defence structures in form. and most of them lost Rnd 1 with the new rules in place. I don't know if zones are finished too early to say, but It seems to me it is a lot more difficult to stop oppositions offensive plays.
  21. geez... I hope not, I'm not confident in Oscar on smaller opponents with speed. The cats recruited for speed, and they got it. Rohan will be far too quick for Oscar, and moreso in slippery conditions. I want to match Ratugolea's speed and agility with Frost. Rat is too mobile for Oscar. Oscar has not come on as I would have hoped for. He's showed some signs, then goes back into the box he was first purchased in. In my team I posted i shuffled the small back deck chairs around back and forth about 15 times until I was happy with the midfield setups and the defence as well. Salem I wanted two of. I'm also wary of gAbletts strength thru the hips, and a slippery conditions, i think will suit him. Hes a danger for our match-ups. I would drop Oscar and play Keilty. Then we have either Frost or Keilty to aid Max around the ground or to play in defence. it gives us options. Aand Max can push forward to create seperation for Weide.
