  1. We were trying to change to being a genuine aggressive club... rather than being a conservative type of club. The Bigger Picture... not the little week to week picture. Try to Win games from our collective positive efforts... rather than trying to go conservative and save games, from fear of the opponents.... Let 'them' fear us for a change. Because one side is going to try to win from any position... and other sides are likely to try to conserve. Let us be the aggressors... try to win. Dare to win.
  2. ... and so are many injured senior players. soon. We have 3 weeks, to play some kids in the team, before the returns come back. I want to see Sparra in at some stage, in a side returning form.
  3. Some here are still of the mind frame... that we are better atmo, than where we are truly at. We are 'infants', Re finals, still building, and forming. We are still forming our Spine, let alone filling out flanks. We still need to add pace and skill to this young forming side. In a sense Lewis is our Pediatrician. And Goody is our 'GP'.
  4. You can't build this into a solid joint... without the glue. He holds the structures together, as this sides main physical structure is so raw. Lever, May, Frost, Weide, TMc, &/or Keillty/Preuss. Plus our Mids are on rotation, with some aging. We need the glue and wisdom for this year... to get this teams act together in the back half of 2019.
  5. His contribution, Re effect, was top shelf, for a young 1st gamer in a struggling team.
  6. That's not a bad analogy for Dec at this stage. That's the role. Hopefully he will catch up to Pedo's role, and then surpass it.
  7. He'll get better uncle... best to have the backup ruck from the forward half, so we don't break structure in defence. I can see Dec plays a similar in skills role as TMc... just not sure of Dec's engine... but his ability to mark the ball, and to operate going forward. The team has tried playing TMc deep... when he is at his best, playing almost a centreline role out high. Creating in transitions, and repelling opposition defensive thrusts, and following the ball back into F50. Dec, IF he can continue to develop... I think will be able to play deeper, as a genuine 2nd ruck/forward, where his main deep game would be to assist the No1 tall forward. I think he could make an excellent tall mobile foil. .
  8. And a nice block from Harmes... when Dec took the ball from the centre square ruck and found space to move in, to deliver the ball into F50. Congrat's to you Drkn167, on Decs, and your family's fantastic day.
  9. If/when he sheds some Kgs, those number of contests, and so disposals will increase.
  10. It feels like our players are reaching peak fitness. after 7 Rnds. And having a little more speed around the ground helps.
  11. That wasn't the only trick he pulled when in the ruck... he did another from the forward pocket, where he was out-positioned, and he worked his way quickly reaching past his opponent, to work the ball into our hands... which resulted a goal. Has some nice efforts and tricks.
  12. I hope he takes a spot with us, as a playing 'assistant-coach' at Casey, for a year... helping our kids of last season's draft, and of this coming draft to learn the right way. Maybe after that 12 months, there might be a full-time coaching role, somewhere for him.
  13. I sense end of season. Even when Lever, and May return... and with they're Ego's, I reckon Lew is still required to help them to team-up together, instead of butt heads. End of season is fine... as long as he thinks he can maintain that spot. The Leadership symmetry will be the next thing to build upon... with Lewis almost finished, and Jonesy not far behind him. .
  14. ... an Interesting symmetry is... the past couple of weeks he's been back... we've played better as a team. and today with him in, we beat his old side.
  15. Ha, I see... So... this or this one 'TT' ?
  16. Maybe this pool training, helps them to overcome some fears, as well. Forcing them out of their comfort zones.
  17. keep him underwater, all week.
  18. team balance is happening.
  19. exactly !!! Tracca is too slow and cumbersome, on a f/flank. He kills our F50 with his lack of.
  20. connection... this is why I wanted Salem on the wing... since earlier in season. Start him from the wing... so he is free from minding a half forward... but he pushes back to the back-half to assist... and to run and carry forward, and connect with Forwards. As a good winger should be doing, anyway.
  21. Keep him underwater, all week.
