  1. Disappointing but completely understandable.
  2. the ball pinging into the goal post and the wobbling sound as the post shakes! "wugga, wugga, wugga"
  3. I work with a guy who looks after the ads on the LED screens at the G. The superimposition of ads on the seating is going to happen. It already happens in many sports so it seems to not be a huge leap.
  4. What are the odds of the Weagles running a crowd sound track during our game. Pre-Recorded "BALLLLLL!" everytime we get near the footy.
  5. The sound of people scratching their heads trying to work out why the AFL persist with this match up as the first game of the season
  6. With no crowd to make a noise it is amazing the things you hear. The sound of boots near the boundary The players calling "BALL" The sound of boot kicking the footy The umpire exhaling as he bounces the footy. Feel free to add yours
  7. Just a hunch but I reckon the AFL want to be told to pull the pin either by the Govt or WHO. Could be insurance based for them.
  8. HT, I would imagine it is based on the fact that finishing 17th had gifted us more games against lower teams from last year whereas Richmond don't have to play theirs against the top teams from last year.
  9. Good to see Preussey and Joel out there along with #3. the injury list must be as short as we have had it for some time.
  10. A big fan of #19
  11. I had a ticket?
  12. Gotta say that I have liked this format of two real scratch match style games and two slightly more serious hit outs.
  13. Yes and no, at risk of sounding like our friend SWYL, for years we have looked at ways to accept the weaker option. The mindset of hoping the other team is off full strength has played out for us many times over the years only for those teams to beat us anyway. When we are a fully competitive premiership unit we will spend far less time focussing on the oppositions individual players and more on the oppositions team weaknesses. Having said that, you are correct that it will take a bit of luck too!!
  14. Totally agree FF. We have to beat the best to be the best
  15. Technically true but we get fit Lever, Nev and hopefully May in the side from the start of the season. A very different scenario to last year.
  16. I think I would give Melksham another run, he looked out of touch on Saturday. I am not sure that #31 is injured, if not, give him a run too. Still curious about Jayden. i.e. is he injured or on the outer.
  17. A great appointment - the way he carries himself in public (not to mention the doco) he is the perfect man for the job.
  18. I am a big fan of Kayo! it has changed the way I view sport
  19. I think he is making one of those rare DL things 58er....a joke.?
  20. No, that was the first thing I asked but he said if if was a Freo game it would have been easy. Not so much for Weagles. At least this way I will hopefully be sitting with Demons
  21. Ah! so i went early, funny that. Never mind, my meeting is with the guys who built the stadium who reckoned that tickets for Weagles games were always scarce. I definitely did not want to miss out!
  22. to hell with tax expense, they pay for the whole thing!!?
  23. Yep, it was a lightbulb moment when I initiallythought *#%^ I have to go to $%#@ Perth..........................................oh wait a minute
