  1. Petterd is from Queensland. I don't think him playing his first game in Sydney really matters. He must play this week. I agree Buckley is unlikely but I'm so frustrated that every team has played debutants this year except us!
  2. It is always hard to pick a team without knowing who is available, but I'm suprised with the number of people who want to play Green and Yze deep in the forward line. We have to learn from what worked last week and what will work against the Swans. By playing small forwards we are giving their small defenders, Leo Barry and Craig Bolton, a chance. By playing a forward line of Dunn, Jamar and P Johnson we are exposing their weakness. How many times did we kick long into the forward line last week? Heaps but it only worked well when Dunn and Jamar where there. Besides last week Green was very effective in the midfield, not so much forward. And Yze...I'd let him go wherever he wants and see if he can repeat last weeks effort.
  3. Yes Miller on Hall is the way to go. Carroll is not up to it. If we play Jamar and P Johnson forward we can stretch Sydney's defence.
  4. I heard on SEN that Johnstone, Moloney and Rivers are all possible inclusions this week, no mention of Neitz. So based on that... B: Bizzell, Carroll, Petterd HB: Bell, Miller, Rivers C: Johnstone, Bruce, Green HF: Dunn, P Johnson, Pickett F: Davey, Jamar, Yze FOLL: White, McDonald, Moloney I/C: Buckley, Godfrey, C Johnson, Sylvia IN: Buckley, C Johnson, Johnstone, Moloney, Petterd, Rivers OUT: Bate, Brown (inj.), Jones (inj.), Ward, Wheatley (inj.), Whelan (inj.) Defence: Bell - O'Keefe Carroll - O'Laughlin Miller - Hall Bizzell and Rivers to provide support
  5. The coach? That will solve two problems, you can take care of ND, we'll get a new coach and they won't let you post on this site from prison! Nah just kidding YM, I like your posts!
  6. They'll give him a light week and he'll be right for Sydney. Big job on O'Keefe of maybe even O'Loughlin.
  7. It is still amazing that with so many injuries we still haven't had a first gamer! ND is very reluctant to play kids and I really don't know why.
  8. The application today was fantastic. Players will always have faults but if we continue to attack the ball the way we did today this season won't be as bad as we all thought.
  9. Whether he asked to be left out or was dropped doesn't matter anymore, so get over it. The fact is he was brilliant today and hopefully this is the launch of a big season.
  10. Headland was best on ground today and we have to cope it sweet. Despite the fact he is a first class [censored].
  11. Look out for Colin Sylvia (close friend of Adam Selwood) on Headland today! A mate who had a chat to Colin's manager said that Colin will play and is not happy about Headland's accusations!
  12. I'm 100% confident the club won't make the mistake of re-signing Daniher during the year. If they wait until the end of the season the decision will be obvious. John Northey has coached the most AFL games without a premiership. Why would the club take his advice?
  13. Wasn't Norm Smith sacked in 1965? Then given his job back?
  14. I have it on good authority that Sylvia is playing today. Not sure who he is replacing though.
  15. Am I right in assuming that Miller will play CHB? That would make it Carroll on Tarrant and Miller on Pavlich with Bizzell and Wheatley to support. We need to start Jamar or PJ at FF to ensure McPharlin stays back.
  16. Rhino are you grading Ferguson based on a key position player or as a third tall? You are right Ferguson is no where near strong enough to play on most CHFs and FFs. He is however a smart footballer, courageous and he uses the ball better than Brown, Godfrey and Ward. I think there is a place for Ferguson in our team. Speed is not an issue when you can read it, al la Greg Williams.
  17. 3 qts from Moloney is better than none! Major concerns going into this week. If Chris Connolley was worth his salt he'd pick a running team cause we won't be able to go with them.
  18. Peter Burner is a comedian. He is part of the Cage on MMM in the morning and also hosts the Einstein Factor on ABC.
  19. Pinch hitter off the bench. Can't expect him too play a great game.
  20. Dee'viater check your team. Are you saying Rivers is not gonna play? You have him in your ins but not on the field. For what it is worth I think you are right, Bate and Moloney will miss. Not sure why CJ is not in the mix.
  21. No. There is only one Ricky Petterd! I really hope Bizzell plays, he is a better defender than Wheatly.
