  1. He was close to useless last year and didn't end up at Sandy. Lets hope 2007 ain't a repeat.

    Round 1 Team

If that is the case then I have lost all faith in ND. Anyway Stynes deserves to keep his record. I don't think he ever had a form slump. He gave so much more to our team than Yze. It might sound a bit dramatic but if Yze does get the record this year i'm gonna boycott that game, out of respect to the champion that deserves to keep it.
  3. Only one problm Rhino. At 32 Neitz is not nearly as athletic and agile as those players listed above. He needs to stay close to goal. This means we need another player to step up and play that role. Last year we fell over at half forward most games. Relying on our 32 year old captain to fix this problem by pushing up the ground is too much. Especially when you consider we are also relying on him to kick the majority of our goals. I still favour the two mobile CHFs like I suggsted above. If only Robbo was 10cm taller, our problem would be solved!
  4. I used to think Neitz to CHF would be the solution. It is probably a few years too late but. He won't be able to provide that contest we need for the whole game. We might get an extra year out of him if he continues to play close as well. I agree that Dunn and Miller are both not up to the task. My solution would be to play two mobile CHF at all times. The candidates are Bate, Dunn, Miller and Robbo. Bate and Miller could be the lead up CHF's and Dunn and Robbo would be the stay at home 40m out type CHF. As long as their are two blokes at all times whose job it is to make that contest and provide that link we are better off than relying on just Dunn or Miller. 50% of the time we need a mark, the other 50% of the time we just need a contest to give our small forwards a chance!
  5. Hopefully hanging with street kids makes him a bit tougher!

    Round 1 Team

I want a fit team for round 1 so there are no excuses. For that reason McLean doesn't play until he is 100%. Why risk him in round 1? B: Bizzell, Carroll, Whelan HB: Brown, Ferguson, Rivers C: Bell, Bruce, Green HF: Bate, Dunn, Yze F: Davey, Neitz, Robertson FOLL: White, Johnstone, McDonald I/C: Jamar, Jones, Moloney, Ward
  7. The NFL only play 16 games a year. A 4 week NAB cup season, followed by 15 rounds, 4 weeks of finals, a few state-of-origin games and the international rules series sounds like enough footy for me!
  8. Its not just backing yourself to win, which sounds innocent enough. People bet on margins, most disposals, first goals etc. Players can directly influence these.
  9. Got to meet the Ox at the races. He was part of a buck's party so wasn't in brilliant form. He did say that Paul Prymke was the best CHB he played with. Not sure if that was true or just the beer talking?!
  10. I'm just glad the post didn't read... Just saw Lynden Dunn in a club in Sufers Paradise. He was trying not too make body contact with anyone just in case he got hurt... Nah that was mean. Glad Dunny is looking after himself and looking forward to seeing his career develop in 2007.
  11. Going into our first final this year with Dunn at CHF is stupidity. It doesn't matter how much people rate him. He is not tough enough (yet), he leads to the flanks, he backs off from body contact (i've seen it too many times), plus he is 19 in his first year of football. That is too much pressure for one kid. Miller is our only option. Dunn is not essential, play him in the pocket or on the flank, no problems. Not at CHF!
  12. With TJ, Davey, Whelan, Robbo all to come back next week it is almost guaranteed that 2 or 3 of Dunn, Holland, Miller and Ferguson will be dropped. These boys are fighting for their season. I have faith that Ferguson and Miller will fight the hardest (their the two most passionate), the two current most important players. Dunn will be a good player for years to come. He is not essential to our finals this year. By the way there should be a 'both' and 'neither' option included in the poll. I would have gone 'both'.
  13. Spot on tom kong. I copped it a couple months ago for calling Dunn soft. I'm glad a couple of people are starting to agree. Miller has to be the main man. Dunn to play second fiddle.
  14. Is there something about our in form defenders and facial hear? Remember when Nicho was in AA form he had the big beard? And now Carroll and his mo! Mayb Ben Holland and Jared Rivers should start working on some beards of their own!
  15. Had similar thoughts. Was gonna start a post asking whether he was a chance at All-Australian?
