  1. Drop Mclean and Bates - one dimensional although in McLeans case he has no dimension. Also did anyone note how easy it was for the opposition to block out players from chasing. Also lack of talk out there and again using handball in many cases to get out of trouble memories of 2008. You all should have listened to SEN which was unbiased and informative. KB at the end after a very depressed Demons supporter rang to complain said that MFC was in fact so much better than last year, was doing the absolute right thing by playing all the young players and that in 2-3 years that we would be in finals contention. I perked up for a little while at least. I thought Spencer showed today what we all hoped he had. I thought his effort over on the Melbourne wing was great for a big man just learning the game. Drop Junior - you have to be joking. His attitude alone was worth ten kicks. He was prepared to go in after the ball and at least he shows some peripheral awareness that so many of them haven't got ie McLean and to some extent Morton. Why is Morton so hesitant. Surely a second year player should be able to make quicker decisions than what he is making at the moment. Why didn't we try and shut down Didak in the second half. Is Robbo playing tomorrow. Once Robbo is back and Wonna then players can be released to other positions and our game plan will be fluid again like it was in the first half. I think we have to hold on to how the team played in the first half and showed glimpses of what they are cabable of and hope that with more games under their belts the younger players wont make the basic skill errors they made today in the second half when they come under pressure and they are tiring. Also you cannot expect the likes of Green, Moloney, Davey and McD to win the game on their own.
  2. What about all supporters (including MCC members) wear something red on Saturday and really distinguish us as Demon supporters. Anything, demon scarf would be great just to show "the filth" that we too are passionate (in a nice sharing caring kind of way) !!!!!
  3. Miller has never been the same since he was put out for 6 weeks 2? ago
  4. joe-boy what a way with words you have!!!! :
  5. One of the ideas at last year's forum was to have kids only areas where kids could go with perhaps injured players etc to sit/meet with the kids - all of this to cement demons support. Yes another derivative of the Cheer Squad.
  6. LAST YEAR MY SON WAS 16 AND HE WAS REFUSED ENTRY AS A JUNIOR . HAD TO BUY AN ADULT TICKET. STINGS BECAUSE WE ALL HAVE MFC MEMBERSHIPS AS WELL.
  7. Who cares - the money is all the same - just as long as we get heaps of it....
  8. I have just watched demon85 link - fantastic - oh the memories. Should be mandatory for all the players to watch it, just to show them it can be done. It also confirmed to me where Greeneeeee must play!!!
  9. last year the club asked members who the player was that had the broadest appeal and be used in all mfc promotions - it was nathan jones. I agree that Aaron would have a huge following amongst younger members however I still believe that nathan jones appeals to "younger" with the way he plays and looks.!
  10. i really have to wonder about who wrote the assessment, some of the player comments were made by someone who hasn't seen a lot of the team during the preseason ie. meesen comment?????
  11. Meesen is almost useless. He cant kick, cant ruck, cant run. At least Spencer had a good chase at a player/ball. Meesen also looked completely shattered when he came off the ground - is he fit? Jetta and Bennell looked like young Aaron's - what a great future they have. Green was excellent when he went down the forward or in the centre. Dunne is too slow. Brock the same old same old - always gets caught - where is his peripheral. Bate did nothing. Nathen Jones gives the team a little bit of grunt along with Moloney who has certainly bulked up. Still not sure that Newton has a future. Miller has to contain the aggression and use it on the ball not the man otherwise he could have a replication of a couple of years ago. Aaron was great and into everything until he was injured. Rivers didnt do much but at least he was there. I did notice that the changeovers were not spot on and often players came off without a replacement ready. In the last quarter they looked shattered and maybe conditions of last week really took its toll. So despite loss, the type of football played was vastly improved on last year so I am taking it one day at a time etc etc Who said food prices were reasonable but $4.00 for a coffee is a little much. The ground needs another entrance amongst other things as well if MFC is thinking about future low support games to be played there. It was good to see the local junior scorpion teams playing and then supporting the players as they ran on. I think MFC is right on the money to increase their suppport base out there. I believe the Club/Casey Council are going to do some work on the outer side to improve watching conditions. Certainly the parking situation wasn't good - would be awful in winter conditions. However all in all I could see a Fremantle V Melbourne game out there!!
  12. Demonland you have missed your calling surely!! That was great reading. Just think what it is going to be like if the Maggies win the NAB. They will all be out buying their GF tickets.
  13. does anyone know who was missing from bris. Did we beat their second team!!!!!
