3 goals in 32 seconds - the quickest 3 goals ever?
jnrmac replied to Lou C. Fur's topic in Melbourne Demons
Fritsch kicked 3 goals against Adelaide in 90 seconds... -
SEN far outstrips Ch 7 with good insights from G Healy (Who was in melbourne) A Hudson, K Cornes, Whateley and jordan Lewis The called the game early though once we hit around 40 pts up. The call became less analytical at this point and more about how amazed they all were at the blowout...

He had made 3 rather big blunders including on the outer wing when he was running into the fwd line off the wing and with Petracca off to his left, His kick was smothered and the ball rebounded for a dogs goal. Petracca was filty he didnt get the handball. I was screaming at harmes for being stupid. He stepped up though in the end

Carlton to get on the 'selfless' bandwagon
jnrmac replied to Bang Na Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's natural evolution that the current premier becomes the blueprint for others to copy. As Neale Daniher says "When all is said and done, more is said than done" Its one thing to say youre going to do it, its another to do it. Melbourne has had a top to bottom transformation, Its bloody hard to achieve. -

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - TOM SPARROW
jnrmac replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think that is a good comparison. Similar body shape, penetrating kick, tough and really strong hands. He's a beauty -

This is so underestimated No disrespect to the previous coaches and assistants but when you look at the previous teams we don't appear to have had many people that have been heavily involved in a contemporary ultimate success. That's why getting Roos was so important to us. Its when we started our journey of belief Even Goodwin's success was 1997 and 1998 as a player. A long time ago And he has admitted he needed a lot of help to deal with the personal stress as a coach Its been a great effort by the club to get people together like Yze and Choco to support Goodwin and that know how to win and work together to bring about this magnificant success. Well done to all but particularly Goodwin who wore the arrows and deservedly should wear the plaudits The journey is just beginning

Goodwin said it had to be done by Wednesday. I assume that is the AFL timeline.

Yes the Bont one hip to Olivers head was looked at and I am sure it won't surprise anyone there was no case to answer. Apparently some in the AFL get special treatment The Daniel one not even looked at.

3rd qtr In the clearance that Harmes ultimately won and passed to Fritsch for a goal it was Viney that smashed through that pack to create a pathway for Harmes. That was the catalyst for stemming the tide and strating our recovery. He does this stuff all the time that doesn't get noticed by people on this site enough. But the coaches and players know.

Channel 7 Broadcast - Tips on how to synch to the radio
jnrmac replied to hells bells's topic in Melbourne Demons
Can someone clarify if Foxtel will carry the Ch7 broadcast or do I actually have to watch Ch 7? -
Definitely can't let Naughton get a free jump at it. Needs body contact or a Demon jumping for the ball in front of him/from the side
-
They're not mutually exclusive ideas. He played Jack Watts a lot too before telling the recruiters to get rid of him. So yeah, really

That is a stretch of the highest order. Preety easy to take someone off with a head knock or a knee twinge or heart palpitations or whatever
-
Hunt has also played 21 games I think and was a staple and much improved player this year. Had he not been injured he'd likely still be in the side. But Goodwin isn't a fan

If you listen to CLarkson and Hardwick discussing tactics for the weekend they say that you can't really tag players anymore. Maybe one but if you do that you upset your team plan and the way you play. Teams just don't play one on one any more so you might be able to nullify Trac or Oliver or Gawn or May or Lever or Fritsch or Salem but not all of them and probably not more than two of them.
