  1. We weren't fatigued in the first half. and thats where the game was lost. We just played dumb football
  2. This is where Stafford is poor. Good teams create space by leading out and opening up gaps. But you can't do that if we are slow moving the ball in or dumping it high.
  3. That was the excuse last year. We led in every single game that we lost. All 8 of them. 'Oh we're doing a lot of things right' said Goodwin. Yep true. But our game plan was picked apart and its happening again.
  4. Fatigue has nothing to do with kicking 2 goals 7 behinds in the second qtr. or 14g 33bh in the past two weeks. Has nothing to do with players being handball happy in the wet or playing behind your man or butchering kicks to our players advantage or stopping to wait while the oppo defence sets up their zone.. That is plain stupid brainless wet weather football. Decision making is abysmal, fumbling is killing us and stagnant, slow predictable footy is what undid us last year. Quick kicks and leads aren't being honoured. Players stop leading when that happens. Its a cancer in a team and totally the opposite of how we played in pre-season and training where the emphasis is on fast movement, angled kicks to the corridor etc. Kicking for goal was above average in the early part of the year because thats what we were doing and taking goal kicks from a more central position. We have now reverted to stop prop go down the line lick to the pocket. Its killing us. Kozzie bar the opening game has been totally out of sorts as has Langdon. Something isn't right with Gawn. There are a number of others. Selection integrity has been compromised for guys like Jordan, Bowey, Thommo, Brown directly but it affects the whole team when there are 'favourites'. This is not a team that is playing for each other. No one goes to Gawn's aide when he is targetted by Stanley, nor petracca when he was constantly being held by Atkins, nor Viney when he was down. We go from one of our best games (v Collingwood) to one of our worst. Something isn't right.
  5. Wow. Did I say they haven't lost a game? Can you not read?
  6. Since rd 10 last year. They have been 'up'
  7. Its 100% correct. We trained that way and we played that way in the pre-season. Coll and PA play that way. Thats what I said You can stop your projections, I never said it couldn't be beaten.
  8. Collingwood have done it
  9. Goodwin: "for three quarters we stayed with them. But we lost the arm wrestle and we lost the game." Goodwin's coaching philosophy in a nutshell. 1min to go in the 3rd qtr in the 21 GF Tracc kicks his goal Goodwin tells them to shut it down. The teams playing well this year are all taking the game on with run and dare. Just like we did in pre season and in all our training over summer. But during season we try to grid out wins. the are a lot of questions our coaches should be answering
  10. They train that way all summer. Why TF don't they play that way? They played that way in the practice games... Goodwin would prefer to keep teams to low scores than break away by big margins
  11. Port tagged Stewart and shut down their defence. Do you think we considered that for a millisecond?
  12. I thought Grundy can hold his head up.For the most part played well and took some good string grabs.
  13. There's no care in this team. No selfless footy like in 2021. Gawn was being monstered and no one went to assist. Stanley simply went to stop Max and didn't care about his own game. Viney was pushed while on the ground injured. No one went to assist Tracc was being held all night and no one tried to break his tag. May was a shadow of his best Not sure who was on Rohan but again he pops up to tear us a new one. Thommo would have been perfect. I like Petty as a player but he was underdone, not up to the pace and comprehensively beaten Thommo was be furious he was dropped and I agree with him. Brayshaw the Butcher should be his new name. Has plenty of tickets on his ability. Needs to get his ego out of his game. He is not that skilled. But the worst was the absolute butchering of the ball and trying to play dry weather football. The insane short handballs to a stationary target. Over and over again. And Fritsch? needs to be dropped and learn how to play selfless footy again. Zero awareness of whats around him Tries to do it all himself. Geelong defended as a group very well and schooled us. They always had a player back and ran/overlapped well. One of Goodwins worst ever performances as a coach. Again against Scott. They clearly didn't watch last year's game nor how Port smashed them with dare through the middle. Kicked 33 points the last two games. WTF is that? You are paid professionals FFS This group frustrates the hell out of me. Great performance against the Pies. And then this shiite on prime time TV.
  14. Fritsch and ANB have to be our two dumbest footballers.
  15. Not quite true Smith and Roo both took marks i50 for goals...
  16. I wonder if there are any learnings from tonight? Maybe that our forward line is freaking useless.
  17. Holding to Rivers 15m out?? play on. [censored] you umpires
  18. ANB That was the moment
  19. Geelong players seem to be able to mark high balls. Our guys are catching soap
  20. How is that not a push to Roo???
  21. Umpiring is putrid. Bordering on cheating
  22. How is that advantage for chandler??. Umpires are a disgrace
  23. 2g 7b we kicked to 1g 3b and fox is all Geelong Geelong Geelong They are idiots
  24. Sometime tell these amateurs yay it's f******** wet
  25. Our defence are midgets
