Brayshaws set kick . I knew we were going to win the flag at that point. Sparrow's bomb comfirmed it as did Olivers as did Petraccas!

This is great analysis. Thanks One note. The guy narrating is a bit slow/boring so suggest you increase the speed to 1.5X or 1.75X under settings....

How far off were we from a perfect 2021?
jnrmac replied to Gawndy the Great's topic in Melbourne Demons
It comes from Athletics where a runner for example will do a big block of heavy training say 1 month before a race and taper their workload as they reach their performance date. The aim is to be in peak physical condition for the big race. Clubs have adapted that to football and If I recall correctly Neil Criag and CHarlie Watts (the Olympic cycling coach) introduced it to Adelaide under Malcolm Blight. They won back to back flags in 97/98 Big blocks of hard training during July to be in peak condition for finals. -

Frees 25 to 11. Dogs kicked 7 goals from fwd half stoppages - that was never going to happen again. We got to within 4 pts late in the last qtr. Bucketing with rain at the beginning - the end margin was close to the 1st qtr margin. Not much in it. -

3 goals in 32 seconds - the quickest 3 goals ever?
jnrmac replied to Lou C. Fur's topic in Melbourne Demons
The only one we got towelled up was Collingwood in Sydney -
Particularly liked his long goal duringour blitz, his longkick to the advantage of BB and his kick to Fritta in the goal square in the first qtr Clever and skillful

Was looking at some stats and noticed Sparrow only had 66% game time. He played a blinder. Really like his hardness and he kicks like a mule.

Someone quoted me the goals that Kozzie has kicked in the games where BB was in the side. It was a big number. I haven't bothered to check it but sounded right....

She wrote an incredibly mean spirited article about Simon Goodwin in the days before the Grand Final. Dredged up a lot of personal garbage. I have supported her over the years but she is bitter and twisted these days. Probably because her husband is Dan ANdrews media manager. Imagine their dinner table conversations. Yuk

SEN far outstrips Ch 7 with good insights from G Healy (Who was in melbourne) A Hudson, K Cornes, Whateley and jordan Lewis The called the game early though once we hit around 40 pts up. The call became less analytical at this point and more about how amazed they all were at the blowout...

He had made 3 rather big blunders including on the outer wing when he was running into the fwd line off the wing and with Petracca off to his left, His kick was smothered and the ball rebounded for a dogs goal. Petracca was filty he didnt get the handball. I was screaming at harmes for being stupid. He stepped up though in the end

I'll be spending Trade Week watching replays of our fabulous Grand Final Win with different commentaries. Have now watched Ch 7 and SEN versions Looking forward to watching the others. Trade Week? Pffft who cares.

Carlton to get on the 'selfless' bandwagon
jnrmac replied to Bang Na Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
It's natural evolution that the current premier becomes the blueprint for others to copy. As Neale Daniher says "When all is said and done, more is said than done" Its one thing to say youre going to do it, its another to do it. Melbourne has had a top to bottom transformation, Its bloody hard to achieve. -

I think that is a good comparison. Similar body shape, penetrating kick, tough and really strong hands. He's a beauty -
