  1. I think you are making stuff up. Salem is better than Bowey in most categories. He might well have been a Norm Smith Medallist he was that good. As for running further... Top-five most distance covered per game in 2021 Ed Langdon, 15.30km Christian Salem, 14.20km Alex Neal-Bullen, 13.88km Clayton Oliver, 13.61km Jake Bowey, 13.33km Top-five most distance covered in a game in 2020 Ed Langdon, 13.3km v Sydney, round 15 Christian Salem, 13.3km v Gold Coast, round 6 Ed Langdon, 13.1km v GWS Giants, round 17 Christian Salem, 13km v Collingwood, round 12 Christian Salem, 13km v GWS Giants, round 17 Oh and did I mention speed? Top five fastest Melbourne players in 2021 Jayden Hunt 35.24km/h Kysaiah Pickett 34.56 Alex Neal-Bullen 33.95 Ed Langdon 33.91 Christian Salem 33.80
  2. We don't have any pigeons around here. The flag is in pristine condition (and really annoys my Bulldog supporting neighbour!)
  3. My flag hasn't yet come down We are still the reigning premiers!
  4. And of course we all know that the Dogs get away with 100 throws a game as well....
  5. They have definitely changed but they haven't really been tested. When they played us they went with a plan that worked, They really attacked our kick ins to the usual left spot for example. One of their talls would take a huge run up and smash the ball forward - passed our crumbers waiting for the spillage - to a couple of geelong players that would generate a repeat entry. They moved the ball a lot quicker than in previous games and switched the ball repeatedly. We were slow to close them down and they owned the corridor. I think they have played their hand too early and shown their cards. We won't let that happen again. And the pressure on them is out of this world. They have already engraved the cup if you listen to the good folk of geelong. If they lose the first game - and the Pies have a good record against them - they will [censored] the bed and go out in straight sets. Thats what I am predicting anyway!
  6. I think you'll find it was Woewodin..dog of an act. And for once a sensible suspension. No one can complain about that.
  7. He denied saying anything initially then changed his story twice.
  8. The way that Zorko has tried to deflect from his gutter mouth by saying he was provoked was disgusting. The AFL should have acted on him and Brisbane should remove the Captaincy.
  9. Geelong are under serious pressure to win the flag. Last flag in 2011. Missed finals once since since then Playing the last half of the season with easy games at Taxpayer Park will come back to haunt them Out in straight sets.

People underestimate how much running BBB does. His knee is clearly giving him problems but he used to run 10-12 kms a game Here is a piece from the AFLs website during 2020 (when at Nth Melb) Top-five most distance covered in a game in 2020 Will Walker, 13.7km v Geelong, round 10 Ben Brown, 13.3km v Essendon, round 6 Trent Dumont, 13.2km v Essendon, round 6 Ben Brown, 13.1km v GWS Giants, round 2 Ben Brown, 13.1km v Hawthorn, round 4
  11. err not for these stats , no. Our best simply stacks up well against everyone else and we are battle hardened. Other teams won't want to play Melbourne in the finals.
  12. Between the flag years?? Wouldn't have thought there was that much to write about between the 2021 and 2022 flags....

  14. Good summary. Didn't see the 1st half but was v impressed with Rosman in the 2nd half. Rooey looks a ripper And Ladhams should be suspended for his hit on Woewodin. Woey was over the boundary line, had disposed of the ball and the hit was high with impact. Dirtbag
  15. Anyone know in the MCC level 4 whether the AA seats are nearest to the ground or the A row nearest the ground?
  16. Was chatting to someone yesterday who was telling me the MCC are unhappy with the 'double dippers'. People who get a reserved seat and then take up walk up seats. Don't shoot the messenger just passing on what I heard. Seems to me this is a problem of the MCCs own making (all tix should be reserved for finals if you ask me,) Suggested they would open the gates earlier for those that haven't already secured a seat. Logistically this would be a nightmare but I guess its possible. If you have already secured a seat through Ticketek then your bar code wouldn't give you access to the ground until an hour after those that had not secured seats. Will be interested in seeing whether this eventuates,
  17. Just re watched the game v Sydney. Took some notes Very close. Sydney gifted 2 goals in the last 5 mins TMac out at the last minute, Buddy not playing, Salem 1st game back was rusty, Langdon 1st game back playing with a broken rib. Tommo was very poor, Petty was off and on all night with an injury. Reid, LMacDonald and the McCartins beat us in the air. Sydney pressure and tackling was first class. 18. Disgrace that Hawkins is Captain. Has never captained at any level. Borderline cheat with his 'flailing' arms and elbows
  19. Snow gags? OMG they are hilarious. Maybe we should oblige with some Mardi Gras gags or rain jokes Sydney's Observatory Hill weather station registered 1547.4 mm of rain during the first six months of 2022, marking the wettest January to June period in 164 years of records. Melbourne rainfall to Jun 1 - 151 m
  20. They all made the Grand Final though.....

This is a key to our defence. Gawn, Jackson or TMac blocking the outlets from Opp defence is vital. The mids block the corridor. TMac also does a lot of pack busting that we missed dearly when he first went out

    He quite likes that

Feel free to detail these instances. I don't see it
  24. Scully took the money and is a forgotten footballer that did nothing and has no allegiances. Neither GWS Melbourne or hawthorn will remember him fondly Have a great life Tom
