  1. I'm so nervous.
  2. So 3 yrs after he conducted his frankenstein experiments he is now making selective comments through selective media. Yeah, we believe you Dank you moron. Had plenty of time to clear the air and the players.
  3. That is the basis for all the angst from the Hird camp. The original deal was done with Gillard, ASADA, Andy D and the EFC (DEvans). The NRL got wind of it and went ballistic so the deal was called off by Gillard. That is supposedly why the Hird camp is hell bent on the conspiracy theory (we never would have fessed up had we known the deal was going to be withdrawn) and why the NRL acolytes such as Roy Masters and Rebecca Wilson have so much info in their articles. Also why the EFC threw Evans under a bus and have gone hard since. They claim to have evidence of a deal and backroom negotiations etc. Its why the Doc Reid case was pulled by Andy D - all the correspondence would be discoverable as evidence etc etc etc The AFL is very nervous about the leaks of what went on behind the scenes. If the Ess players get whacked expect all hell to break loose with lawsuits left right and centre.....
  4. My recollection is that ASADA/AFL quietly sent samples to Germany, not the EFC.
  5. I feell stressed having read this forum for months now....
  6. Its too late now..
  7. I would not confuse the issues. Generaly yes the AFL has been poor on drugs and shot the messenger (Dale Lewis anyone?) But with the EFC they are in a difficult spot. They can't be seen to be interfering with ASADAs investigation and must wait for it to conclude. That is probablyclouded with their suspensions of EFC from the finals and banning Hird for 12 months etc but broadly they are unable to generate a negotiated solution to tis saga. It is bigger than the AFL and all they can do is support the investigation. What follows though will be really telling....
  8. Never hird of him...
  9. This is the ultimate red herring and based on the fact that the AFL are the ultimate employer (or at least a co-signatory to each playing contract. Therefore they are responsible for what happened at Essendon. Ridiculous. They are clinging to the fact that the AFL clubs are ultinmately owned by the AFL. Sugggest they haven't read the Collective Bargaining Agreement that the players sign up to.... 29. SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT 29.1 Each AFL Club, as the employer of Players, has obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety legislation in the respective States to take all reasonable steps to protect the health and safety of Players at work. Each AFL Club shall set up appropriate workplace consultative procedures involving Players and other employees consistent with relevant Occupational Health and Safety legislation to progress health and safety issues. And “Player” means a player of Australian Football who is or becomes contracted with an AFL Club and is or becomes listed with the AFL as a Player with an AFL Club. “Standard Playing Contract” means the form of contract, as agreed between AFL and AFLPA, for the employment of a Player by an AFL Club to play Australian Football. And in any case if the players have taken something illegal they are in breach of their contract regardless of the circumstances. Muppets.
  10. Noice....
  11. Oooooh I don't know what that is but I like the sound of it.....
  12. Former Essendon player plans to take legal action against AFL Bombers Oh dear it has started. Former Ess player to sue.
  13. I'll pass that on to the coaching staff. They will be delighted you have finally given us your view.
  14. Interesting experiment.... I suspect he has never played in defence even as a junior so he will have a lot to learn...
  15. What? When he was at Carlton and being hounded by Malthouse? Are you serious? Garlett has kicked 40 goals or more on 3 occasions. I'd say he has a good record and in the right environment will do really well. I am hoping we are the right environment.
  16. I would like to see sponsors withdraw. They should be able to break their contracts if the decision of the tribunal says the players likely were given illegal drugs. If the club won't do it themselves the sponsors should try to save their own skin.
  17. Thanks KC (and I think you mean 49pts)
  18. You would be one of the few..
  19. I'm sure the club will wait until you have had the chance to look at him Nash,,,,,
  20. Well thats a problem. Its not his job. He needs to do his primary job and then if he plays a link up man he becomes potentially valuable..
  21. I think thats harsh but I don't get the love for Gawn, He has done nothing and has been on the list since the 2009 draft. Am yet to see why the raves. I know one thing, If Jamar goes does we are going to get hammered.
  22. Because Paul Gardner was such a rip roaring success......
  23. He, I don't believe, is arguing for that. IN fact the opposite. He is arguing what is likely to be true. If they haven't got rid of him now then it seems unlikely they will capitulate now.
