  3. Appalling umpiring
  4. No urgency, shocking spread, unable to get separation from opponents We play like this we won't win 5 Games
  5. Totally clueless ball in hand
  6. We are useless
  7. May having a mare
  8. I think its a crime that we lost 4 finals in a row with the list that we have.
  9. This is hilarious. And pathetic at the same time It's a pressure industry. Everyone has it, If you don't like it get out
  10. That's not a recipe for long term success when Max is 33yo
  11. 1. I do 2. No they're not 3. It should at least be multiple Grand Finals like our plan was set up to do. We haven't won a final in Melbourne since 2018...We in fact have lost every once since 2018. Knocked in straight sets two years running. Feel free to relive the glory of 2021. It was great. But we didn't get to see it live and we have flubbed every final since. BS about an even competition is just that.
  12. Only if you are looking for them to change up tactics If you are trying to replace like for like ....
  13. If we only get one flag from this era it will be seen as a fail Yes he broke through for our first flag win (and will always be lauded for that) but like Kevin Sheedy in 2000, it is universally acknowledged that the Bombers wasted a stand out team.
  14. They definitely look confused. It's as if we need to slingshot out of defence or fast from the middle but kicking into 50 we need to slow down and be selective about our options. There is a disconnect between that change of pace. In addition our running patterns are woeful. Take for example the incident where Jefferson was injured. 3 Melbourne players jumping for the same ball. WTF? Ots a movie we have seen way too often Was some great footage on On The Couch this week re Adelaide and how Walker, Tilthorpe and Fogarty move as a unit and rotate in a triangle. Was a joy to behold to see it done well. Nearly all their entries resulted in a one on one not a pack situation. And the space in the fwd line gave plenty of options for a midfield kicker to kick to advantage here's the other thing about having lots of space. You dont need to be accurate with your kicking. You only need to kick it to the advantage of your forward. Do that and you look like a genius.
  15. Fritsch first need to get the ball. Ideally somewhere near the corridor. When he kicks well he leans fwd over the ball with a straight kicking leg action. When he kicks badly he invariably leans back with a lazy action and with a leg action that moves from out to in. Now that he's hardly getting the ball the pressure on each of his meagre kicks has ramped up and lo and behold his accuracy comes under pressure
  16. Hmm no mention of game plan, standards or efficiency Kumbayah Sam Mitchell reminds me of Goodwin in the early days. Hard azz, Minimum standards, accountability, selection integrity, fast movement.... What's happened.......
  17. I don't believe that for a second. We saw Clarkson at hawthorn regularly change their game style in season IN any case we are talking about mids not bombing the ball into the fwd 50. I'd almost be certain that this is not to instruction. But Oliver, Viney and Tracc are just butchers of the ball usually
  18. Reigning Premiers Brisbane Lions say hello
  19. Forget the big fish that will completely cook the salary cap for years. We need players that can kick like Amon, Dambrosio, Coleman, Miers etc Players that won't cost a fortune. It was the bedrock of the successful Hawks era and Mitchell is rolling out the playbook again. Look at Lindsay in his 2 games - fabulous kicker of the footy. If only we could get Viney to handball to a running Lindsay and stop kicking himself we'd be much better Unfortunately we have midfielders who are terrible kicks.
  20. Did anyone introduce Fritsch to an actual AFL football?
  21. Fairly obvious why West Coast can't score
  22. I have seen enough vision both on TV and with my own eyes where a player streaming out of the middle will ignore up to 3 easy hit up kicks to bomb it long to a pack. It is a recurring problem with our mids in particular being recidivists. Our fwds do have poor running pattern issues but its also possible they are sick of making leads and being ignored. I spoke with one of our past fwds who said this was a big problem at Melbourne. Maybe they are basking in their 2021 finals glory days. Or maybe they spent so long kicking to the right fwd pocket that they can't adjust. Either way I can't believe the coaching staff and players cant fix it.
  23. Speedy reply ! well done!
  24. Hmm so how about DON'T KEEP BOMBING THE BALL INTO THE 50m ZONE? 19 entries in the 3rd qtr for 2 goals Its the same problem we have had since Adam was a boy. It can't be that hard. Our coaching group are incapable of fixing it and our leaders are incapable of lowering their eyes. Viney the worst culprit but they are all the same - Oliver, Tracc, Gawn, Sparrow, Langdon they must be morons to keep doing it. It makes us unwatchable.
  25. didn't we win 15 in a row there at one point?
