Essendon traded a future second round pick to gold coast in 2017 to get Saad. (not sure what the pick ended up being exactly) Has he improved much since then? If not, why should we pay much more than the Hawks second round pick we have since it'll probably end up being similar to what essendon originally used...

Can all the teams just stay in the hubs, for the rest of the season? Only 12 games to go (13 for us!) and they could squash that into say 10 weeks if they put on a few mid week games. Things could improve again in a few weeks but if they don't wants the AFL's backup plan!?

Yeah since when did games get played at 12:35, it's not the reserves! There aren't the normal two Saturday night games being played at the same time so maybe it's to spread out the games more to please broadcasters since the AFLs more desperate atm. Hutchys been on about this for years - never have an overlap between games.

Where there's smoke there's fire. I can't remember any recent surprises at the pointy end of the draft that contradicted the media's rumours about our picks. e.g it was rumoured we weren't keen on Mccartin and would go Petracca and Braysure. Same with Oliver over Parish. I think the last completely random high pick was Gysberts? Cook doesn't count as we were trying to get Lynch.

No one uses it anymore, it was going out of vogue and that was even before they introduced pre and mid season supplementary drafts, delisted free agency etc. Pick 1 or 2 is no longer a bonus (especially when melb doesn't take a ruthless approach to Martin)
