GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Wouldn’t mind seeing Sparrow tried down back in future. Brings pressure, has pace, could play more lockdown potentially. We need his type down back IMO.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Geelong
Went to ground and cost a goal earlier in the quarter. He was good against Brisbane, but wasn’t great last week and was close to worst on ground that first quarter. He’ll need to lift or he’ll be dropped again.

Cats are experienced and strong bodied team. Need to stop trying to break tackles and take Hollywood options. Back to basics, first option football when the pressure is on.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Geelong
They’re smashing us on rebound. Their kicking skills are good. We’re holding up fine in the air, but once it’s on the ground or running we’re struggling. Missing Hunt or Rivers to lock down more on those types of attacks. Hibberd is ok, but Bowey and Salem aren’t great at defending. They’re both offensive options.

Bedford gone next week if he doesn’t have a big impact later in the game.

Ben Brown BOG this first quarter!

More talk needed there to let Bowey know he was hot. Bowey is in poor form though too. Been calling for him to be swapped with Hunt or Rivers for weeks now.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Not sure on the girlfriend, but I heard about his parents. They were planning to move across to Victoria, but Covid delayed those plans and they've since decided to remain in WA. It may be a key factor in his decision to move back WA unfortunately.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs Geelong
This match all comes down to us and ability to apply sustained defensive pressure. If we can put pressure on for the majority of the match as we did against Brisbane, especially through the middle of the ground, then we'll win. Our best is the best in the league. If we're not able to apply pressure for long enough, then Cameron and Hawkins will get a lot of opportunities and get the Cats the win. We generally go ok against tall forwards, but Cameron and Hawkins are both elite. If they're getting good quick entries, no defender or team can stop them. This all comes down to midfield pressure.Big games required from players like Harmes, Neal-Bullen, Sparrow to apply pressure and allow Petracca and Oliver to get on their bike going the other way on counter.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Brayshaw won’t be part of a trade for Jackson. Hypothetically if he was though, it’d be Brayshaw for Jackson… and a first rounder. Brayshaw is a proven elite midfielder oozing leadership. He currently sits second in the league behind Clarry in the coaches votes. He’s 22 years old. Jackson is a tall with serious potential at 21 years old. But he’s still mostly potential at this stage.

Bad kicking is bad football. Suffer Carlton!

NON-MFC: Round 16, 2022
Hipwood gets off with a fine for intentionally shoving his opponent into the umpire. That intentional act was far worse than lots of intentional in play acts that cause injury due to poor luck and cop suspensions. Absolutely absurd he gets off with a fine. Should have been a suspension.

Dogs can’t win when they don’t win the free kick count 🤣

TEAMS: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
Rewarding VFL form as he kicked 6 goals last week. Good for club culture to reward or at least acknowledge hard work and decent form.

Bloody wrapped with this. Go you good thing!

Farewell Luke Jackson
Seems Brayshaw will stay but Jackson will seek to have back west. Freo won’t give up Brayshaw, who may win the Brownlow and is their next captain. If forced, I’d take Young or Serong and a first rounder for Jackson.

Clayton Oliver: A Demon for Life
Bang! Bang bang bang! [censored] ecstatic to read this news. Clarry is the most important signing of the lot. I didn’t expect this to happen until later next year, so to have it done now and avoid all the distraction is great. But even better, he’s signed long term. He’s a demon forever. My favorite player and will likely finish his career as the best to ever pull on the red and blue. Absolute legend. Onya Clarry! Go Dees!

2022 NAB AFL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
How are the high end tall forward stocks in this upcoming draft? We may wind up with a high pick from Jackson leaving, and an elite tall forward is our number 1 need. BBrown and TMac are both nearing retirement, Weid hasn’t come on and JVR is young but promising. Need to add depth to this area of our list.

Kozi hurts
He wouldn't get through a single match without being suspended in todays game. Byron and Voss crashing into each other would've caused an earthquake! The game used to be so much harder hitting and fun to watch.

Daniel McStay
He’s a battler and would be nothing more than depth in our team. You wouldn’t bother considering him if he wasn’t a free agent and therefore a freebie not requiring a trade. Talk of 600k is laughable. His output is basically the same as Weid, yet he’s older and will cost more. Pass unless he comes across for below average wage, which is obviously unlikely.
