  1. I agree....Sylvia should have DESTROYED Judd with a massive (legal) hip and shoulder. Sylvia and the rest of the Melbourne players need to stop taking the soft option and find a nasty streak and use it every once and a while! If a player is there to be given a massive (legal) hip and shoulder then DO IT!!!
  2. Good to see a bit of brainstorming going on here to help save the Melbourne Demons! I suggested combining all our ideas together and then faxing or Emailing them off to the Melbourne Football Club.
  3. David Neitz is the greatest Melbourne player of modern times in my opinion! I will surely miss him next year.
  4. As far as I know I think it would be better financially and a lot more convenient to align ourselves with the Casey Scorpians. We are moving our Summer training base to Casey Fields after all. Yes I hope so!!! Good call mate! :D In my opinion moving our Summer training base to Casey Fields is one of the BEST things the MFC could do! Cranbourne may not be in the City centre of Melbourne but it is STILL a suburb of Melbourne. The fact that it is a "growth corridor" also means there is potential in the long run to gain new MFC members.....all we have to do is start winning some games!
  5. It's pretty simple really. Melbourne and Sandringham will part ways (all good things must come to an end and the Zebras have been good to us and during that time they have won quite a lot of VFL Premierships). St.Kilda and Casey Scorpians will part ways. Sandringham will be unaligned or join with another AFL Club (no idea who?). Melbourne will join with the Casey Scorpians (colours: dark blue, red and white) because we are moving our Summer training base out there to Casey Fields (in the Cranbourne area). And St. Kilda who have moved their training base from Moorabbin to Frankston will align with the Frankston Dolphins (colours: red, white and black). It's as easy at that!
  6. NO WAY! The Melbourne Demons STAY in Melbourne!
  7. G'day Fellow Demons Supporters! Yes that is the question. Are we going to WIN at all this year? I understand we are going through short term pain for long term gain...but I hope we improve enough and become competitive enough to win at least a few games this year. To go the ENTIRE season without a win would be absolutely disgraceful and would apply even more unwanted pressure onto the MFC. I'm sure we will probably win a few games. I just hope it happens sooner rather than later...
  8. G'day Fellow Demons Supporters! I seriously think we should try and move heaven and earth to snare Jonathan Brown from the Brisbane Lions. Stuff the filthy Magpies trying to get him! Imagine what a coup for the MFC it would be if we had Jonothan Brown playing for us next year?! Better the Chri$ Judd(ollars) who decided to "rub salt into the wound" for Carlton against us yesterday! <_< Anyways, I'm not saying that we will get him..but we should atleast TRY to get him! From Supreme_Demon
  9. Cranbourne isn't that far away for me. About the same travel time as going to the MCG. I can't wait for the Demons to set up a Summer training base at Casey Fields!
  10. I say we take a chance. He has more to lose than us.
  11. I found this link today on the MFC website: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/tabid/7415/D...px?newsid=57382 I'm looking forward to seeing Austin being given a go in this match for the Demons! I just hope he's not too traumatised after the match... GOOD LUCK AUSSIE! :D
  12. I'm glad if Dean Bailey is giving the Melbourne players hell! They deserve to be given a HARSH reality check! <_< The ENTIRE playing group need to harden up!
  13. Just get in contact with the MFC via the official website. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/Membership/C...21/default.aspx All the best!
  14. Yes I've been a MFC member for about 9 - 10 years.
  15. It's a little bit harsh to swear at the players walking off the ground. You can say they put in a pathetic effort. But don't swear...that sinks to the level of Richmond and Collingwood scum. Although it must be pointed out that quite a few of the MFC players DO get paid ALOT! So perhaps they deserve it when they play so poorly? Thats for the individual to decide. Not that I'm an "angel" when it comes to swearing. In fact, I'm probably the worst! But that doesn't mean its the right thing to do. You just get angry and upset during the game. Remember that disgraceful so-called Richmond supporter who actually spat at the Richmond players/coaching staff a few years ago? I'm waiting to read in the papers when Cameron Bruce encounters Yze_Magic as he walks up the players race one day!
  16. I'd like to see a bit of heart. If your getting belted by nearly a 100 points why not....?? If you can't win the match at least try and win a fight. Show a bit of passion and aggression! At the moment our players couldn't punch their ways out of a wet paper bag!
  17. I hope the MFC players see this and feel ashamed of themselves. I can't believe those odds! How embarrassing!
  18. I am going to give Dean Bailey the chance to prove himself. What is the point of a knee-jerk reaction against a first year coach? This time its the players who are to blame! <_< It will be interesting to see what happens in Round 7. I just hope we actually WIN a few games before then.
  19. I'm actually going to buy my brother's their MFC memberships for their Birthday this week! :D Crazy I know, but I'm guessing the membership department won't be very busy....
  20. Ironically we are playing against the team (The Casey Scorpions) who we will probably be aligned with next year. Whats the point of having our "reserve" MFC players in a Sandringham side when our NEW Summer training base will be at Casey Fields? Sandringham has been fantastic for the MFC and vice versa but it will soon be coming to an end...
  21. I really hate losing! But....if all of this short term pain will mean a PREMIERSHIP in the future then I think it will be worth it. The players need to change their attitude and LISTEN to what Dean Bailey has to say. Most importantly we need to RAISE our skill level! How few of our players can actually hit a target? We are excited about Cale Morton because he actually CAN! The rest are sorely lacking. These problems will take a while to fix but I'm hoping by the end of the season the players will have improved enough to actually WIN a few games. I see light at the end of the tunnel......................... B)
  22. Garry Lyon isn't to blame. He's been trying to HELP the MFC! The poor bloke is going to cop it big time on "The Footy Show" this week! If anybody is to blame its the players! They don't LISTEN to what the coach tells them and have a very poor attitude! They need to starting shaping up and WINNING some games! Otherwise, there will be the AFL record for the most number of player delisted from a club (Melbourne) in a season, at the end of this year! <_<
  23. NO MERGER!!! We shouldn't be bringing up ghosts from the past! The Melbourne Demons will never merge or relocate! Those who suggested a merger should have realised they were wrong and that it would NEVER happen! ALL Melbourne supporters need to get behind the club and support it! GO DEMONS!!! LET'S SMASH THE BULLDOGS!!!
  24. As long as Paul Gardner is the MFC chairman I will support him. Nevertheless I would like to see somebody with wealth and a lot of influence in the "top end of town" to take over as next MFC chairman. That is why I would support somebody like Ron Walker taking over IF Paul Gardner decided to step down. Jim Stynes would be a good idea too. But I think he would be better suited as a board-member than as a chairman. Garry Lyon could be either a board-member or the next MFC chairman. But that is his decision. His co-worker on "The Footy Show" and Triple M radio, James Brayshaw is President of the Kangaroos so I don't know why Garry can't follow suit? We need more people in the media to be BIAS, one-eyed Melbourne supporters! Eddie and James can do it for their clubs! Why can't we? I hope that MORE former players put their hand up to help the MFC. People like Stan Alves, and other former great MFC players should be helping out more too in my opinion.
  25. This is absolutely FANTASTIC news! I was one of the main people that supported this idea and I am really looking forward to the Demons gaining a foothold in this "growth corridor" of Melbourne! The opportunities are enormous with the amount of young families in the area. And when children are in their primary school age it is when they are most likely to choose their football team (unless their parents influence them!). Now all the Demons need to do is start to WIN games! For those who are interested in learning more about Casey Fields here is their website: http://www.casey.vic.gov.au/caseyfields/
