  1. Wouldn't have mattered, the kick was after the siren, the clear free kick we got screwed of killed us there
  2. I too was happy with the result, as we got screwed most of the day. just went back and watched the incident 3 times and still don't see it as tunnelling, contact with AVB was incidental and at the hips, his legs were not taken out
  3. I agree tunnelling is dangerous. This was not an example of tunnelling
  4. Two players jump for the ball, the ball goes over their head, small contact is made after the ball is past with both players in the air, so a player falls slightly awkwardly and we call this tunnelling. What a crock...
  5. Tunnelling is when a player on the ground takes out the legs of someone in the air, Gibson was in the air and made incidental contact to AVB, to me that is not tunnelling
  6. There was a small bit of contact with both players in the air AFTER the ball had past. No free kick at all, was in shock when it was paid and not just because it was for us
  7. In all fairness, we should mention the AVB goal from a free, a gift from the umpires, who are an out and out joke.
  8. This has to be one of the worst lines that I have read here.
  9. I will...
  10. The person from the first half that should be rubbed out is Sicily, that was an old fashioned round arm on Bernie, a dog of an act that should get 3 weeks and the umpire who missed it should be dropped too
  11. The commentators are stupid to say it was his fault as Cyril's call to bump would have been made before the fumble, but regardless IMO it was not high contact but a brutally perfect bump.
  12. I am assuming you are saying this for the bump on Oliver. if Rioli gets weeks for this then we may as well make AFL a non contact sport, IMO it was a beautifully executed bump, the type I would like to see more of in the game. there is a reason there were no players remonstrating after the fact, they knew it was a good clean bump
  13. Glad to see we are not getting ahead of ourselves
  14. Can't say I'm a fan of Hardwick, but to call him soft is just showing no knowledge of the blokes playing career at all
  15. Really? I remember Dunstall making a tackle in defence in a game when he had some 14 odd goals (16 by memory)
  16. To me he can be a bit up and under, on the run he lets himself down sometimes by failing to take that steadying step or two.
  17. Disagree. He is not a bad kick, better than average, but far from a great kick IMO.
  18. Check the date of the post you were responding to
  19. If Trenners can become the player he looked like becoming in his first two seasons, he will be one of our top 7 players. I would be happy if we gave him a two year contract.
  20. Grimes is not slow. i would have him before M.Jones every day of the week (though after many others), both have their issues with disposal but Grimes has a flatter kick when passing and can use both feet.
  21. Not huge unfortunately, a bit above one from Range Rover though
