  1. port and Crows have more fans in Alice, full stop. The Nyirripi Road is a rough one, the mob there travelled in on Monday by bus to go to tonight’s game, bus home is tomorrow, there is only one bus a week.
  2. Am one of the lucky few in town to have tickets, can’t wait to go tonight!
  3. We have good support in communities like Nyrripi and Imanpa, as the play as the Demons (I have Imanpa Demons tracksuit pants) both though over 200km from Alice, so hard for them to attend games
  4. Great little video. i love this community, each time I am there we talk about the oval and Melbourne’s involvement. It is a very well run community with a wonderful art centre, quality training programs that lead to real jobs and the interior of the church is something to behold, absolutely brilliant- is covered in wonderful paintings.
  5. It is DC and is something the club should be proud of
  6. Martian may have the smarts of deeluded but don’t agree it is him as I can actually understand what Martian is trying to say
  7. Santa Teresa Oval full of life A year ago, the club asked the community what they wanted, they said they wanted a grassed oval, they are close to getting it (next will be a fancy to keep the brumbies off it?)
  8. Making things up? he had one bad hamstring injury that he took 6 weeks to recover from, as opposed to being an ongoing problem
  9. Not this year....
  10. Here the dilemma is do I pick best or favourite....
  11. Meant the leaker of photo, obviously a badly worded post on my behalf
  12. Also, don’t bother asking me to share photos, I won’t
  13. Seen 2 photos now, sent to me. vic police are scum, sorry!
  14. The photo going around is something else!
  15. https://www.news.com.au/sport/afl/gillon-mclachlan-not-giving-up-on-afl-crowds-after-northern-territory-offer/news-story/23413521b8f80b9137e390ff06cecba5
  16. NT putting their hands up for games, with crowds. Please let it happen!
  17. No, military not armed, police and feds are to differing degrees. If it gets into communities, the death rate will be world news. that said, with precautions in place, anyone with a clue of this part of the world could see that it is an ideal location for an AFL hub, they could start this weekend provided broadcasters staff also go into hub!
  18. Still are, we have police and military manned checkpoints in and out of Alice, without the right paperwork you can’t get through. Had Uluru to myself last Friday, was amazing!
  19. Not necessarily, but up here they are due to the very small number of cases, all coming from overseas and having limited to no contact with others in community. No cases of community transmission here. but hey, be a [censored] about it
  20. If we are serious about using the hubs to keep the players safe, then Darwin and Alice should be two hubs considering the virus has been pretty much eliminated here
  21. Was done first in Arrernte https://youtu.be/yuCT0lfa_xw
  22. Glenn was a gun of a player, if he had of been on the ground weekly he would be considered a legend of the club
  23. Well this is [censored] news. Michael’s brother went fishing, hasn’t returned though the boat found: AFL player Michael Hibberd’s brother is missing following fishing trip in wild weather Thoughts to the Hibberd family.
