Yep. Our skills were superb at times... Why such a huge turnaround? Since 5 minutes before half time against the Hawks when Davey signalled for us to slow down, none of the demons players have been running, or leading. Puts incredible pressure on the guy with the ball... When we run, our average kicks suddenly seem good, and our good kicks suddenly look amazing... And then there's Davey who can kick like that in a cyclone.

Yeah, wow he stank the place up. You didn't need marks, and that's exactly what he gave you. Manwhile Schneider got his usual 2 goals and he and Simpson racked up double figures in kicks which is what sank you... Could have gone either way up to the end there. Hapy with my position now though. :D

I was super impressed with that. If it's the same one I'm thinking of it happened in the last few plays of the game. He played pretty badly, but by gee it wasn't for a lack of trying, and may have been one of the more impactful 6 possession games I've seen from a non-defender. I saw him get involved a bit, and thought he's not doing a lot but is putting in. I was shocked to see he only had it 6 times. My favourite? Hearing the MMM boys describe Sylvia's second in 30 seconds as "Harlem Globetrotter" stuff... Jamar smacks it to Moloney, Moloney chips to Sylvia, Sylvia goals... It's stuff like that that sends a chill down the spine of even the best sides. I remembered for the first time this year. This team can play.

Pavlich and Judd have been elite through their whole careers. Judd has done it on his own for the last few years, and Pav has done it on his own the whole time he's been in the AFL. Not good examples. But your point is pretty sound.

It's not laughable. It made perfect sense to drop him from it, and if you asked him he'd more than likely agree... It's irrelevant.

Robbo24 what a finish! I think I'll get you on kicks, marks, tackles and frees for (though we could both win/lose either of them still potentially)... So what basically needs to happen is I need Ball or Thomas to kick either a goal or two behinds to sneak home. Can't believe the game isn't televised.

That's the thing though isn't it... We have a bunch of assistant coaches, and no senior coach. The Dons model is one we should be looking at. There's ABSOLUTELY NO REASON why, with the right brains at the top, this list can't turn it around in 2012 in the same way the Dons did. For 2011 there's gonna be a lot more pain before gain, I'm afraid.

Was a good game from Jack. He's just starting to build some confidence in his last 5 quarters. Shame he only had about 5 team-mates. That's the thing. So much class and skill that you could never axe... but we're still SO bad. The fish has to rot at the head.

Smacks of Knights... If they can't come up with a gameplan that at least gets us competing with the good teams, and breaking even with the crap ones... then we're cooked.

What difference does it/did it make? I heard he suffered from shin splints, and as a long time sufferer, I can completely understand the desire to do ANYTHING to alleviate the pain. I'd be more surprised to see the Dorks insist he wear no trackies. Would be a weird and unnecessary thing for the club to do. Having a crack at worst thread of the year this one.

More often than not I pick against the dees. Firstly cos we're not very good, and then also because if we lose, I get a point in the tipping, if we win... well... we win. So I get something out of it regardless.

They'll all look like better kicks, particularly Grimes, when the bloody midfield makes a lead. From when Davey waved the team to slow down 5 minutes before the end of the first half against the Hawks, we've been sucking badly in this regard. :D

No player since I've been on here (2004-ish I think) has come CLOSE to getting the "future captain" tag as much as one particular man... and this should serve as a lesson to those picking future captains every time they see a player string three words together: Brock McLean. (PS, Jack Grimes is catching up quickly)
