GAMEDAY: PF vs Geelong
Obviously got too close to Hawkins. Apparently he cant help himself.

Video yourself before being too drunk nodding from time to time and looking interested. Play on loop. Drink to excess and recover on the floor if need be. Work From Home indeed!

GAMEDAY: PF vs Geelong
“Lightning won’t strike twice’ The last time we played at Optus we had to flee the ground for a lightning storm, then gave up a big lead to hang on against the Eagles. No storm warnings tonight. No chance for the old oppo list to get their breath back. Lets get out to a lead and keep ourselves well out of reach. I reckon they will kick 8-10 goals. We will kick 12-16 goals. Our margin will be at worst two goals, at best 8. Go Dees!

TICKETING: GF vs Bulldogs
I would be careful - we have been told we can share PF barcodes, but as I understand it, GFG are not transferrable. I would wait until we get the email from the club (should we win) that outlines how this will work, and if transfer is allowed.

PF: Melbourne vs Geelong
The media seem to be all over the cats. No real insight into ‘how we win’. All about the forwards for the cats, That rat fella and of course the midfield. They all fail to mention the umpires, how Hawkins is emboldened to injure, or the fact that the Dees are 2-0 and better placed to win this one. In fact, I will go so far as to say if we play 80% of our best or better, we will win. Commentators be damned!

AFL TRADE NEWS AND RUMOURSÂ
Dally M medallist? WTF?? What work experience Queenslander wrote this?

Adam Cerra
Be remiss not to have a crack. May just push the price up? we can’t know what else the club has planned - they just don’t leak!

Brownlow Medal 2021
Generally the worst footy related entertainment of the year. Will only be good if a dee wins.
-
Joel Smith Hamstring
From many wanting Smith out - now teeth gnashing when it is forced upon us! If it comes down to Smith / Hibbard for the win, we are in trouble. Our system down back is more important than our fourth backman selection.

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Not fretting, Elwood, just looking at it through a different lens. With those ‘weaknesses’ does he even fit into what we would want, regardless of how high up he goes?

2021 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Thanks WJ. I find the ‘weaknesses’ list interesting. Given we will want whomever we get to have footy smarts, a strong defensive work rate and quality delivery, it rules many out. Mac Andrew will not get the luxury of jumping by himself in AFL too often so his weakness of not coping when man on man is a concern. Much longer term prospect perhaps. I think we may not trouble the top end of the draft pool this year. at the moment I can’t really focus beyond the game(s) ahead, good thing TL and JT are on the case.

FINALS: Week 02 2021 (NON MFC)
His problem was how obvious he made it. Stood there and stuck his knee out waiting for the clean take away. Should have kept his eyes on the ball and moved toward it more. Had less problem with this call than about 1/2 a dozen others…

Throwing the Ball
They might start out nice guys, but playing under Scott would do that to even mother Theresa.

Adam Cerra
We are out of the race for this guy as we have no valid picks and need the cap room for others. Unless: someone wants out to Freo (we won’t be pushing any top 25 players out of the team, we are in the window now and culture is critical) he nominates us and comes on low dollars. Think we need cap space to manage our current list more than to throw at others. even then, doubt we can make this happen. Future first would be projected at 18, so that is not enough. The best thing is our list looks good enough for now, so we can build the future in behind what we have rather than needing a type of player to fill a hole. We can now avoid paying overs and chasing targets, instead they might just start wanting to come to us.

Going early! Can we finish this year first?

POSTGAME: QF vs Brisbane
When your ruckman and captain leads the tackle count for the night you know it is all in. Love it. Go Dees

Toby Greene umpire contact
The media are bleeding all over this. Want it to be the big story, and all adding their useless opinions to help get Toby off. He is like a pervert in the nursing home, cant help but touchie touchie, old Toby. Repeat offender. He had no cause to even be that close to Stevic. Bad look for the game.

Adam Cerra
Our recruiting has been pretty sound the last few years. Really targeted needs, except perhaps for sideshow who fell out of change at the Roos and we were able to make that stick. Cerra Certainly would be a great addition, but we haven’t got the free capital (picks) to make it happen. Can’t see anyone in the current 18 being traded unless they wanted to. Culture is king, so no one is getting marched. If he asked to come to us, then we could find a deal, but I don’t think we should try to manufacture one that rips our guts out

FINALS: Week 01 2021 (NON MFC)
That ‘never tear us apart’ thingo is dull as dishwater

UMPIRES - Some Stats
Incidentally, these stats are meaningless. They are correlative not causative. The percentage victories of the team has little to do with the umpire designated to that game. It would be more value to review the number of free kicks, or differential, per team compared to average of all umpires officiating that team. This would begin to expose any *unconscious* bias.
