The whisper i got about 2 months ago was he is in all likely hood heading to Geelong. Nothing in concrete as it cant really be ( wink) Coin around the 600 mark...for 4 years with a kicker Curiously its not a football type source but someone who runs a business down that way. Now could be a yarn....could be the goods ...Time will tell

I wholeheartedly agree R13. we are obviously not privy to Roos' game thinking and he seems less annoyed by what Jack does or doesnt do ( most of the time ) as compared what many other players arent doing. I know I just shake my head a lot watching the footy ( us ) and wonder what was going through the mind of this player or that. Again all I know is really what I see. Often the effort at a contest is less than ordinary from ol' Jack. He might be doing everything else asked of him but I also know that in games you have to become a little inventive. If the mountain wont come etc. Some players just instinctively know how to immerse themselves into proceedings, others just seem like parked cars on the side of the freeway as everyone else wizzes past !!

On the surface youd have to think what youre saying might actually be the case. its just I , and quite a few others have noticed its like a game of 'keepings off Wattsy" at times. The side of his game that encompasses using the ball and kicking etc is bloody brilliant., the other side that requires absolute commitment to a contest and scarcely a concern for ones own health...is sadly missing. Yes its just an opinion but I know Im far from alone with it. id love to know what Roos really thinks he can do with ol' Jack or if he's really just as flummoxed as the rest of us !!

About a year and a half. Prior to that he'd done some coaching in North America and had undertaken various self study etc into coaching and what makes teams/players tick etc

It matters Nut because I believe it would take more that 2 seasoms to become accomplished in sufficient areas as one is required to become a very successful afl coach.

It matters little to none if only coming on board as an assistant to learn his craft. It matters very much if as some would suggest he came on board as the anointed one.

Yes we do; need a development system for home grown players but like anything you often build a protective ( supportive ) scaffold of sorts to allow this to happen and grow.

Keep in mind its not as though we'd have to suddenly need to find ALL of whatever amount as the MFC is coughing up money to Casey already and there's a cost to field our blokes in the VFL already. We'd effectively pay a premium over existing costs to go it alone but I think it would be well worth it. Im sure if the Woofers can find a way to do it we can.
