Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>

I like the cut of your jib there superman !! totally agree. Those trying to rort the system will need to rethink if the system itself is rejigged -
When has he ever been complacent whilst convalescing and recovering ? Hes done just about everything you can do to get yourself back into shape. It just hasnt healed properly. Not for want of any effort on his part. Jack is already "made" he just needs to be fit for footy. This is where I don't particularly share the optimism of many here i just have that nagging suspicion he'll spend most of the next 6 months getting close...only for his foot to do it to him all over again. I really wish him well. Id love season 2 version of JT out there. I just think it wont pan out that way. I am not medical expert but Id have to think the more times it fails( his foot ) the less likely it gets to ever get back to %100. He deserves better luck.

Just a flying it up the flagpole case here really but what I see the club wanting is an absolute gun of a midfielder and the chance at maybe a decent pick at the draft but around where they think a Lever type might go. The picks etc are just a means to an end. If we accomplish our goal..we've done ok.its for others to possibly continue the narrative over this or that. The goal of trade week is to better you list and /or position in draft if thats your direction. Its not our direction I feel . Ours is to get more ready to go now types to impact the team starting round 1 2015. All will be revealed in the coming days without doubt.

would the club consider a deal as easy as 1, 2, 3 take a former #1 package with picks 2 and 3 for Danger their picks #10 and #31 ? just brainstorming it really

ET. I dare say Beams was ONLY ever going to the Lions. What slowed it down was the tenacity of the Pies in exacting what they deemed a suitable reward. Well played Filth. Got to admire them in that. Beams was never coming to us so in that sense we cant miss out on what wasn't. Re Dangermouse. 24hrs is a long time in footy , so 48 more than allows for T's to get crossed and I's dotted. His manager is just playing the game..... we all are.

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
beelzebub replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
If there's indeed an irony about all of this is that the almost worst case scenario results in us taking two kids who hopefully tear it up for us !! damn some us still prefer a ready made or two however...Still 2 days to go eh -

Just read it myself and it really goes to the quality of the kid. To have the Trengove of his 2nd AFL would be marvelous. Im not putting money on ya son, sorry, but truly hope you can overcome your setback and prove many of us wrong.....Id gladly be wrong. All the best, however it goes. -

I think Connors often plays the ends against the middle. If he wasn't in sports management I'm sure he'd be a Pollie !! -

all takings with grains of salt -
Not quite the words Id choose but the vein unfortunately is not far off the mark, for mine. Elsewhere Ive commented similar, in that I think he may be staring down the barrel as far as footy goes. As a club we were prepared to play on without him by trading him. We will have to play on regardless without his input as he'll offer none unfortunately. You have to think if his card's not stamped yet , they're inking up in readiness. You have to be at the top of your game to keep in it at this level. He's a fair few yards away from that. I'm not sure the club will be benelovent beyond sense and really, should it be ?

I think a lot need to lighten up...Its just Footy....its the silly season, it's all about smoke and mirrors and the fun and games associated with them . It's what makes the Trade period what it is. If the likes of GNF indulge in a little of similar then what harm really. All goes to being part of the game. I for one enjoy the occasional cryptic hint and and appreciative of the like of C-I-P who also offers up tasty morsels for cerebral consumption. No one's forced to read anything hear , nor believe it. Don't shoot the messengers, just be selective of what you ingest. It's not hard. -

Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off

different injury. Knees seem to come good a lot more often than navicular problems. On days like today suppose you claw at whatever hope is around. -
Jack Trengove re-injures his navicular (2014) - trade deal off
beelzebub replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't. Its never actually healed, just keeps getting close and then reoccurring. Whilst I take no joy in this consideration , if you can't even stay on the training track then what hope getting on the park ? I'm not liking his chances. That's just being realistic about this with no rosy glasses or any sentimental bias.. What is..is.. -
