  1. is more a case of putting players on the paddock to release Tom from attempting the things he's less 'glorious' about
  2. Sue, I certainly understand where a many come from in this respect. I dont for one moment suggest we arent better in many respects however we arent in one major one. The ability to win. In a game where only one team is victor it becomes akin to the notion you cant be a little bit pregnant or a little bit dead. You are or you're not. You win or you dont. At the end of the day only one team takes 4 points and thats all that really counts. Now I use the word counts advisedly as it depicts numeracy. Thats what the ladder is about, numbers..Theres no column for the "in between stuff" It would have been a very different discussion had we won because it would have been because we DID find a way to win.. We didnt
  3. There is something of what you suggest about the 'change' but from my seat it still harshly shows up Tom's limitations. He isn't , imho, suited to the role of General. Maybe this responsibility once removed might bring improvement. I already sense Frost has more a natural gumption about this. Tom is a meat and potatoes type player. Hecan do specific things well. It's when called v upon ( or feels beholden to do so ) to be ' creative' that the Souffle folds. I've been on about getting in a good FB to leave Tom to do the chb role. Maybe Frosty can seriously develop in time to be this. Possibly this is the reason Hibberd is sought and not a FB. Possible line up (someone ) Frost Jetta Milkshake Tmac Hibberd
  4. The fear is whilst obviously Oscar has a long way to go(long way ) he does have potential. It worries me that this is as good as Tom gets. After all the seasons already he's hardly improving. Compare with Frosty who's advancing with each game.
  5. Im thinking only 8 but totally agree with the thinking we cant craft wins. It's between the ears.
  6. Needs more than that. Need better educators. A decent fullback would help no end though.
  7. Whilst many bask in the luminosity of our great positives I'm bemused how few seem concerned about the inabity to craft a win. This is not about them 'trying' to win, which they obviously were, it's about any capability to make the magic work when required. In contrast the team that should have lost by all accounts didn't. They found a way to win. We need to find this ability.
  8. Wish we knew how to educate defenders
  9. Because the question is illogical. It supposes deserts are based upon the eradication of supposed negatives. You propose a sliding doors style of alternative outcome as a basis upon which a team OUGHT to have won. That literally is a nonsense.
  10. and yet the only thing a team can truly affect is its own performance. Its not going to change how umpires umpire, its not going to change the other side as such as it will do what its drilled to do. So the ONLY thing a losing team can really do to win, is play better. It is actually far simpler than you might suggest Red
  11. There's never anything that's straight up about a story involving Dank though is there
  12. Often just to put the scares up someone. Not always intended to hit.
  13. The right track ? Id say yes. The right consist ( train ) ....no
  14. But Nasher this is very much the point...wanting to win and FINDING THAT PATHWAY to do so are often two different things. We seldom find that path when required.
  15. On reflection yesterday was a tale of two teams. One found a way to win, the other a way to lose. Im really tired of losing the ones we shouldn't, and didn't have to. If the coaches are only part to blame it then falls upon the leadership on the field. We simply don't have enough, nor the caliber required. This has to change markedly for us to succeed in 2017 onwards. Otherwise it's groundhog deckchairs.
  16. Actually, nothing . Mea culpa , just way thread went.
  17. What games do you watch ?,Mac OS good at relevantly unpressured kicks. Id say only 50℅are actually in the direction tbeyought be. Frost is making mistakes but idsuggest is leading the mob in trying to fix them . Tmac still makes dumb dumb mistakes, unforgivable given time in system for mine.
  18. Im arguing even a numbskull should understand how to win. Surely its inherent in the dna of any player ( worth his Salt ) but so many readily find the excuse. [censored] we're good at excuses. It's like we as a team are always waiting on how to do thing's Are we really that thick ?
  19. You are fooled my friend . It WAS there for winning. We had no idea how to. You are the one lacking idea, just blindly posting the typical argument. Good teams find ways to win. Despite half a dozen paths we still found a way to lose. Yet I'm the naysayer. Hilarious. I don't want us to LOSE .
  20. Ahh this is poignant. It's how I arrive at a much earlier post...alas
