i dont even want to particularly use any of those sharp picks to get anyone out the draft..In my view you use them as currency to get a player ready to go... as the adage goes...trade for players...draft talent. All around there has to be some minor leniency in what anyone wants as to what they can actually get So though I know what your getting at its not how Id do or look at deals here.. In my world Hogan goes out...other players come in.. or more precisely Hogan and a bunch of players out...a swag of noobs ( to us ) in. I dont really care as to the precise number of picks...or the # attached to pick...as long as it get all the deals I have in mind done. I imagine the FD has a few in the deraft in mind but as they're seedlings by comparison theres some largess there...In trade ...youre dealing pretty much with near absolutes...i.e known ( or as much as possible knowledge ) of the players involved

in all honesty Id equate pick 2 to pick 4 and say pick 10....not 4/5 5/6. but thats just me Red I seriously think Hogan for 4/5 5/6 is pie in the sky stuff.. 4 and something ( under 12/13) yes imho

It can be very murky as its a rolling 4 y period and that said no sooner had the afl made these clear-as- mud rules they gave out exceptions. As long as you keep to the vibe Im sure its all ok !!

I think the error many are supposing...( its certainly a foundation for much stupidity in the media ) is the idea of two sharp end 1st rounders...and thats all. if my crystal ball was less fuzzy Id probably be looking at around a good pick...sub 7...another 1st rounder..10-13....and an exchange of maybe a latter 2nd from Freo for a 3rd from us. its all about providing the currency for other deals...MFC will look holistically at all of this Im absolutely sure . And why? because thats the track record of recent years...just get the deals done to get the deals done. You dont really get to spend any change !! The deal with GC for May wont be in isolation either...so again..its all about packages that fulfill requirements...ours and others.

Haven't listened at all. Nothing to learn. It's radio for airheads. Who ever made the comparison to CNN is right on the money. It might depend how well Nuffnuffland are at managing players and lists ? I dont think theyre as sharp as some other teams here. Also I think their hand is forced somewhat with bringing in all there silver bullets.I think Sctt and Co think theyre closer to the breeze than they really are....just my thoughts granted.

I agree. And it's why the loss of that other bloke is hardly as cataclysmic as feared. We'll effectively have two nominated tall forwards...with a 'visitor' . All 3/4 able to mark a contested ball if need be. The kicking varies a little but with Truck.. Milkshake and a squadron of mids lurking we aren't looking too shabby. Very hard to line up on imho. If Goody employs the old NS decoy thing Oppo coaches have their work cut out ( good )

wheres that thing ...about...what area of the clubs pay group youre in...and what the size of the contract is the departing player is to acquire ?? I suppose the precedent is there for a very high pick but it does seem to be diluting as the years wear on and free agents are walking all over the place.
