  1. Some certainly have either rosy glasses or short memories, or both . Everything we hear regarding all this from Bruce and the Poos is pure spin. That's the reality of what happens. Rpfc probably hit it on or near the head whenst invoking the word Narcicist.
  2. A Joeboy synopsis: He's Gone, Good !
  3. If jamar is resting in the square...whos he replaced and whered he go ? etc. Not so so straight forward as when we had 4 on bench
  4. It sounds simple ...until.... resting whom ?? and how ? only 3 on bench now !
  5. Am tempted to suggest he's shown his true colours !! damn i just did
  6. why stop at two ??
  7. The curiosity for mine is that the new rules one would have thought, precluded a team from utilisng two rucks in the old manner and yet we now seem to be forming a team with that. Either its an obvious fault in logic ( not beyond me...really !! ) or were looking to some very intersting setups and resting manouvres.
  8. Were certainly looking beyond the fence these days. Amazing , in a way this is early days. You can sort of feel the pulse of the waking beast.
  9. Certainly a player with more than one string to his bow. Strange really he was still there at our 5th pick. Must have been hiding in the open !!
  10. Were now past any era of just learning. Were now entering the WIN phase. We have the shapings of a very capable team. its time to stop continually looking to some larvellous future date when all things fall into some place. Its essentially here now. Spencer will need to further refine and hone his craft. He will need to earn his spot . Its now not a matter of no one else able to fulfil the role. Its needs to be won. If Campbell and Jamar were to forge a definitive force and help guide the Dees to flags I certainly wouldnt care less if Spencer never played again. But take that in context. Its all about the team. Its not a charity fuzzy feeling home for waywards its fair dinkum AFL Spencer and anyone else will get their time...if and when their ready and needed
  11. Im thinking its BOTH. We are getting much cleverer as a club in realising in house talent for roles other than the obvious. where leadership and mentoring potentials exist they are now truly nurtured with a view to grow not only the teacher but the taught !! This all goes not just to the basic development of any's skills on filed but to the one-ness as a team and club. I feel we have not only taken the ideal of a family club to new realms but were creating a club that is a family in its own right. People are flocking back to the MFC. Who'd have dare to dream our position and calibre as it now exists even 3-4 years ago. There might well be the bonus of his personal demeanor and possible role in tuturing in years to come but I think its definitely as a player/ruck at present.. All else is bonus. Lucky us.
  12. Funny that in a way.. Youd look at many positins as being old at 28 but really hes in his prime. Jamar is 27 !!
  13. Just so I have this sqaured away in my mind. Is it that we dont have a full Vets list that we can automatically play a rookie from game 1 ? This is where I was ( i think ) getting muddled and assumed a rookie would need to wait for mid season elevation or an LTI to appear .
  14. From the vid footage he just does it with nonchalant ease !! Almost looks like hes pulling his kicks and they STILL go a mile.
  15. Again I applaud the efforts of BP and his band of merry head hunters. To have deftly grabbed him from the likes of those nasty Sqawkers whilst all the while they thought they were being the sneaky ones!! Well we seem to have an embarassment of riches regarding the midlfield now. Some fo rnow and some for later as well as depth. We seem to have a more than capable defence which seems to find new personnel and effecctivelness with each year. Now we have two of the leagues beter rucks. All thats left is to hammer the scoreboard. Will be very interesting to see how the team of 2011 lines up. Many new faces will push exisitng for spots. That cant be bad. Funny isnt it.. Kennett Country so busy playing with all their shiny new toys forgot what they already had !! Delicious !! Looking forward to seeing how the FD make all this work !!
  16. Anyone else see the irony...Hawthorn !!!!
  17. Certainly opens up options for game setups. I have a passing knowledge of his escaped as ruck. Hes good. ( obviously as a premiership winnng player ) but not aware of his adventures possibly at the sharper end of the ground. Is he that Hale option we looked for or is he more an arond the ground type. He spent a bit of time pinch hitting around the defence but he has kicked goals..is this a role he can be forther groomed for ?
  18. I sit stand and lean corrected
  19. Hes a Rookie...needs to be elevated first !!
  20. Now all we need to do is get him on the pitch. Either waits for the auto elevation or that great unknown...a LTI to appear somewhere. Do we win the Smokie award ( again ) ?
  21. Robert Campbell (wiki) A somewhat inspired selection. Certainly bolsters the Rucks stocks as of the moment (meaning not waiting for others to come on..and they still might ) Hopefully has got all his niggles either out of the way or managed. Id supose this otherwise why select him..lol A Jamar-Campbell duo...not too shabby at all.
  22. Given the strange ironies of other possible reasons this one alone doesnt come unstuck due to grandstanding or play acting the high moral ground. Bruce has never been shy of pushing his own barrow ( and in all reality fair enough, just dont try calling mutton lamb there Cam !! ) Not that I could really care what he does this does seem to be logical. Funny...he'll have probably backed the wrong horse here.
  23. looks much better in that pic. Best to date
  24. Can't help but think they're trying to be a little too cute. The blue trim to the yoke ought to be a bit wider and uniform. Would have liked to see the mfc insignia below the yoke too to break up all that white . Agree way too Sydney. Better than pajamas though !!
  25. I think there is something in a jumper. A pride and honor etc It's splitting hairs for some but if it made NO difference then why are some clubs so keen not to change ? To me this is the essence of developing a clash strip which has at least some of the same aura as our real strip. Not just some "other outfit you have to wear" Symbolism carries a lot more weight than some might think.
