2024 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
i would presume the club has been aware for some time that he wasn't eligible to be selected i imagine it's the eagerness of mfc fans about him as a prospect that has seen the news filter out to the public that he's not eligible to be picked up thru the nga for us it's a shame, but it doesn't change anything at the end of the day

Unbelievable … NO ACCESS FOR DEES NGA TALENT MELBOURNE will not have access to tall forward prospect Tairon Ah-Mu under Next Generation Academy rules when the 17-year-old hits his draft season next year. Ah-Mu is a member of the Demons' NGA program but under the AFL's eligibility criteria, he does not qualify for the club to have any priority access over him as a draftee. Ah-Mu kicked three goals for the Dandenong Stingrays on Saturday against the Gippsland Power, taking the straight-kicking key forward's tally to 21.5 from 10 games this season. Ah-Mu, who has Samoan descent, is 198cm and also has featured for the under-17s futures team as well as playing under Essendon champion Matthew Lloyd at Haileybury College in Melbourne.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 5
The silver lining of Melbourne’s disappointing finish to the season is that they now have a top-five pick in the draft. And in this even top-end, you could quite easily grab the top talent in the draft with the selection that Melbourne holds. Replenishing their midfield is a high priority with Christian Petracca’s long-term future remaining uncertain, and there are several options who can add an injection of class. Finn O’Sullivan may be gone by this point but his high-impact per possession and goalscoring threat makes him one of the most damaging midfielders available. South Australian Sid Draper has some wheels and has stood up at state league level, while Murphy Reid can provide the precise ball-use and decision making their on-ball brigade lacks. Midfielder-forward Sam Lalor shapes as the wildcard, a player in the Petracca mould with his strength and attacking threat. Or do the Dees look to shore up their limited key forward stocks with forward Harry Armstrong?

Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread
mfc confirms two reviews being conducted; one by Darren Shand, brad green, and gary pert into the footy dept + one of the board itself by an external independent expert (they don't say who), involving the president and all current board members

sigh i miss raymond much, much better show than "barry"- Tim Membrey
depends on cost, i suspect if it's the equivalent of a straight swap for tomlinson, i'd be super keen- Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread
Paul Hopgood better put on his big boy shorts cos the president's job is his if he wants it?- NON-MFC: Trade Talk
Smith, Macrae, and Daniel all wanna leave Footscray? Something, something, something… Kulcha?- Trade Targets
I think people will steer clear of Ladhams because of his personality and behaviour- Trade Targets
houston would suit us to a tee, i think, but seemingly he's ruled himself out of leaving...let's see if that holds til the end of the trade period i just don't see parfitt and macrae in our best side but i imagine the former will be be available as a delisted free agent and the latter a late pick if yr prepared to pick up his entire salary; issue being that they're not that quick and their skills are mediocre at best - with the game moving from 'contest and defence' to 'skill and speed' they simply don't suit the transition game that we want to execute and wouldn't be in our best side if we maintain the style that saw us be successful lynch is on huge money for the next few years, and his body has let him down for the last several years; caveat emptor indeed ladhams will struggle to be on an afl list in 2025, while membrey might be a shot for us but does another mid-sized forward target actually improve us?- NON-MFC: Semi Finals

sad that there's no more frostball in 2024 interesting to see how the hok ball restructure their defensive set-up in 2025 and beyond with the addition of barrass and battle coming into their 'best' side those two plus frost, sicily, scrimshaw, weddle, blanck, grainger-barras is a lot of tall defensive types when, really, their best set-up really only has two or three of them- Trade Targets
