  1. That’d make the leg up that the two northern franchises got look like chicken feed
  2. It’s not really about who ‘pays’ tho; it’s about whether it’s counted in our salary cap for the next six seasons or not
  3. Some talk that north hosting flagmantle might dip below 15k attendees… that’s gc17 / gw$ levels
  4. jack seemed like a lovely fella, and i am sure he was great fun to party with but it's easier to forget in the wake of his career that he was dropped by every senior coach he had i personally doubt if, given the rigour that goes into draft pick selections these days, he would go close to being drafted in the first round
  5. how good are the academy kids we have with us? what's the odds on those nga kids sliding past pick 40 and into our clutches?
  6. filth? crom? flagmantle us bloods footscray? pear gw$
  7. on replay, sparrow seemed to have a defensive role on johanissen for large parts of play, which seemed to work quite well i would be amazed if sideshow bob isn't playing - he was excellent with his long leads, sticky fingers, and ability to bring the ball to ground
  8. i presume dempsey from the puddy tatts got the rising star nom this round? howes looks a natural
  9. kornes was a very good player for the pear he was also an aggravating and divisive personality around the club he's modelled his career as a combo of his father and stephen a smith
  10. great listen again lads i would be happy for you to do a daily podcast for 30 mins to an hour it's on my 'must listen' list the minute i see that it's gone live, along with the likes of nyt daily, indiecast, and slate's hit parade
  11. i was screaming bloody murder in afl members about the ball-up at the top of the square THAT'S NOT WHERE THE BALL WAS! IF THEY GET A GOAL HERE WE RIOT!! apparently people thought i was being funny; i was deadly serious
  12. she is super highly rated hopefully she really nails our brand and comms strategy, cos it's been the bugbear of many on here for quite some time
  13. terrible luck for porterhouse
  14. exactly i don't mind the logo personally, nor the name particularly (although the lack of n is just odd) but the state jumper? should've been a no-no
  15. friend's response - why does their logo look like a hairy fish?
  16. ‘Tasmania’ Devils - they forgot the n and the extra head Needs more syphilis
  17. maclure called it 'pathetic' on the ninefax realfooty podcast would love to share this with him but alas he doesn't accept feedback on any social media platforms:
  18. could you share the link pls? would be curious to see what people's expectations were
  19. and this is where they're completely delusional big tours that can fill baseball stadiums - the likes of taylor swift, pink, fredagain etc. - play primarily in melbourne and sydney, not even brisbane, let alone perth or adelaide - they're never going to play in tasmania when even fairly large acts like queens of the stone age play in tassie they're headlining tiny venues compared to what they can do in melbs or syds cos, well, hobart simply doesn't have the population to support tours by international acts
  20. he had one shank in the last that was a direct turnover and it stood out like a beacon such was its unusual nature good user
  21. not sure i entirely believe these graphics as the amount of times on the afl members wing i saw langdon pass to billings was a delight
  22. i didn't see anyone slagging off the crowd but i'm going to presume it was sam maclure, again? i was thinking the crowd would be ~40k so ~45k was slightly above my expectation footscray don't draw crowds at the mcg; they barely draw crowds at their own dungheap at docklands
  23. because they got paid for it the afl season starting in the first week of march is just absurd
  24. the most egregious one was yesterday at taxpayer park, where the ball hit the post and went at right angles and the goal maggot STILL called for a review
