  1. i'd much prefer we win every game for the remainder of the year and we start to see consistency and skills from the likes of watts, blease, tapscott et al than finish lower on the ladder. in fact, if we could somehow end up with lucky pick #7 i'd be ecstatic.
  2. based upon conversations i've had with other people who usually get things right, i'm leaning to that he might be staying. personally, i hope so.
  3. You'd hope not, no. Mind you, was pick 9 in the same draft Tapscott was pick 18. Straight swap?
  4. Andrew Moore - 33 touches, 6 clearances, 8 i50s and 3 goals last week in the SANFL. Buddha Hocking is his coach, and reckons he's playing like an afl midfielder.
  5. As a matter of interest, what was our inside 50 against in his All Australian year?
  6. Three year contract wasn't it? Ha!
  7. word straight from a mad swans fan is that o'keefe's pace is fine, his disposal is fine, but he's not even close to being thought about as depth for the swans in their current state. longmire and co are bringing through a generation of players - cunningham, lloyd, smith, rohan, rampe, brandon jack - whilst still challenging for a flag, which would be their third in a decade. oh how i envy the bloods.
  8. didn't make the final, but i don't think that's what you meant...
  9. Good point Radar - defence mechanism kicking in. If he leaves, we will miss him. (And I expect him to go.)
  10. Totally agree dee-luded. Both go to somewhere where there's a coach currently who used to coach them too, albeit in an assistant's role in Cameron's case.
  11. Nope, that's not how their contracts work. Hence why most players are signing til end of 2016 so that when CBA is revised they can get their mega $$ accordingly.
  12. I personally would happily pay it. In two years $700k will be cheap as chips. Salary cap could double or triple if players demand it be tied to game revenue as is expected. He's a miles better player than McDonald, and has more runs on the board as a KPP swing man than Dunn for instance.
  13. First 2016...then 2018....2020.......
  14. Sloppy seconds! Agree, we definitely need another PP this year.
  15. Ahern too. Both he and Laverde are tipped to be late first rounders at this stage - would expect them to tighten to top 10 a la Salem and Freeman. Goddard and Lamb slipping big time.
  16. No, Davis was injured and ruled out for the remainder of the year when he confirmed he was off.
  17. No chance. I expect a huge offer to come his way as a free agent at the end of the 2015 year to return to Brisbane and play alongside his brother.
  18. apparently pies aren't interested.
  19. what i love about all the footy journos in this town is that they all think they know everything, and then when something truly momentous happens - buddy to sydney, peptides scandal, lyon defecting to freo - they have NO IDEA whatsoever. i'm convinced a vast majority get their rumour and innuendo straight from message boards such as demonland.
  20. i say we stay well away from ty vickery. gutless wonder.
  21. Fantastic interview. MFC should be more of these sorts of things. Robbo is a natural too.
  22. Cal Twomey reckons Petracca is firming as #1 selection.
  23. Treloar is probably - alongside Macrae, Wines and Tyson - the most impressive young midfielder in the competition. It is worth remembering tho that he has crossed the 50 game barrier - both Macrae and Tyson are on 30, with Wines on 41.
  24. one sentence message to the umpires: don't pay what you don't actually see.
