  1. it's not even a rumour. it's a rumour of a rumour.
  2. just run hola or a vpn, and buy a season pass to watchafl.afl.com.au. streams in hd - it's a little bit behind the real time, or even the time of the foxtel go or afl live app, but quality is outstanding thru a pc. only a titch more exxy than the afl live season pass too.
  3. i think the majority of commentators are happy to have a team to pick on, and melbourne has been an easy target for a decade, hence why they continue to speculate on hogan potentially returning to wa. another element that might be in our favour is that the peptides' cale hooker is a free agent at the end of this year - regardless of whether or not he wants his contract voided, as has been speculated amongst their playing list - and freo are into him big time. some reports this week had him getting the same sort of $$ as jesse. even with forthcoming retirements i doubt that freo could afford hooker, mccarthy and hogan. of course, in saying that, every club in the competition will likely open the chequebook up for our #1. can't wait to see what he can do in his second year.
  4. Lachie Neale a clear exception - knee high to a grasshopper and absolutely prolific.
  5. Also missing was Vince. I'd say max of 5 listed would be best possible 22 - Vince, Jones, Petracca, Dawes and maybe Trengove, with Lumumba, Melksham and Newton part of our much needed 'quality' depth.
  6. He got off on appeal.
  7. In that photo Oliver looks like Blease on peptides. He is huge.
  8. just don't lie down in the middle of any busy roads robert.
  9. Really want to see him succeed at the Dees, but I query whether his skill level will allow him to do so.
  10. He's entering that age where calf injuries become chronic. As we have seen with Dawes, it severely limits their output.
  11. When he comes back, stars in a few premierships, re-takes the captaincy once Jones retires and wins four Norm Smith medals in a row as part of our historic 10-peat... Well, reckon he'll be happy to retire feted higher than nearly any other player in the game ever. No pressure, mind...
  12. Wilbur Green is the elder of the two I think - my son and he are in the same AusKick, and my boy is in the year below, and he's six. Has skills, but not as much as Buckley or Hird's kids, who look natural footballers. But they pale in comparison to Wanganeen's boy, who will be a star for Port in a couple of years. Freaking amazing talent.
  13. If Hogan requested a trade at the end of this year to Freo I'd want Neale, Tabener and their first round pick for the next two years minimum.
  14. He always reminded me of watching a new born giraffe falling about. Cult hero.
  15. I think they'll rotate Pedo, Frost and Gawn as tall options down forward. We will basically play a 4-5 man structure, with one player permanently rolling up. I'm presuming of the currently injured players, it's likely only Watts that will be fit to go for round 1. Ideally I would prefer Harmes in his place, to be honest, but I expect Roos and the coaching staff will continue to back him in. B: Jetta – T McDonald – Garland HB: Salem – Dunn – Bugg C: Tyson – N Jones - vandenBerg HF: Watts – Frost – Brayshaw F: Kent – Hogan - Garlett Foll: Gawn – Vince – Viney I/C: Stretch – Pedersen – Kennedy – Harmes Emerg: Neal-Bullen – Grimes – M Jones Injured / recovering from injury: Petracca, Dawes, Lumumba, Trengove, Newton, Kennedy-Harris Likely Casey representatives: Oliver, Weideman, Hulett, O McDonald, Hunt, ANB, Grimes, Spencer, Terlich, M King x2, Michie, White, Wagner, Smith But obviously we won't have any real clue until the challenge games have been and gone and what injuries we pick up.
  16. It may seem strange, but we could actually win less games in 2016 than 2015 and be a better side, simply by being in games for longer. If we can bridge the gap btw our best and our worst footy then we will have improved significantly as a side. Like most, I think the #1 aim is to be in games to win them deep into the last quarter, rather than being blown away early on as has been the case for too many years.
  17. So the story goes on the site.
  18. Out for a month.
  19. I just want to see us hitting targets and not turning the ball over. the defensive accountability has been put in place now, I hope, but what has been holding us back for years are our skills, which have been nothing short of appalling for over a decade.
  20. Port should be the only club eligible - for Monfries replacement. Crameri left the year that the story broke.
  21. cripps news is important as he's another wa boy who is staying in victoria.
  22. For what it's worth, reports have it that Cripps has signed on at the Blues til the end of 2019.
  23. because wallowing in fear and loathing is intrinsic in being a melbourne supporter! (also fear. lots and lots of fear.)
  24. i'm tipping essendon. some of the top-ups that they've picked up are players who regularly star against us, and we're playing them at the stage in the season where they'll still be feeling fresh and not tired and aching after a half a year of footy on extremely limited preparation. they'll still be up and about when we face them. bombers are optimistic of a huge turn-out for their first home game of the year, and after playing the suns up north they'll be galvanised and ready to have a big show. they'll be the talk of the media throughout the week leading up to the game. it'll be horrific to watch the fawning, particularly if they actually go okay against the suns, which they well might do as the top-up players are the sort of people who also tend to do well against the suns. i for one live in terror of us doing the predictable and losing. we better not...
