Not true re foxtel play now - that's part of the new broadcast rights agreement. i know cos watching the game in full stream on foxtel go last night was how I watched the first half! As long as the afl want oodles of money and foxtel (50/50 jv btw news corp and Telstra) needs live sport to drive subs, the pay to watch service will be the norm. it has been like this for eons in the us and the U.K. Get used to it

it's $50 a month isn't it, for all sport including espn and be-in channels as well as the 'standard' channels? if you like nba and champions league as well as afl, international cricket, and drama, comedy and the like it's hardly break the bank stuff.
