I was at a festival in Czech Republic and was checking scores, showed scores to a mate next to me, both said we are cooked. A few mins later I saw we had got closer, saw the score tick even closer with little time, kept it open and watched the score go in our fav and elbowed my mate super hard and laughed and laughed and laughed.

Don’t forget Daniher kicking a heap without missing when Essendrug were putrid. McKay will kick and min 4 vs us.

But if the rest of the team harassed, tackled etc. as much as he does then he doesn’t have to try and do it all. He had more tackles, disposals, pressure acts than Kozzie, Sparta and Chandler and yes a few more turnovers. He is a cog, and important cog and yea he will butcher it from time to time but so did/do the others. And I think all our smalls are suffering from the selection of too many talls. Drop Tmac for a small/mid and watch our game become better.

I’ll defend Nibbler a bit here, the pressure rating each time they showed it was in the elite category. He had some horrible moments but so did nearly everyone, multiple times. He is just an easy target. He at least had a lot of defensive work and tackling that others didn’t. Some don’t show as changers either like Trac running to 50 and blasting at goal when he had three options in f50 he could have chipped it too.

JVR looked good once the long noms stopped and we hit him up. Nibbler played the defensive role up forward and wasn’t bad. Sparrow was decent but took a head knock and missed a big chunk of the game. Agree on coaches need to be refreshed. Viney was sat on again and not seen in the first half. Gawn looks unfit and more interested in playing for frees than asserting himself. Grundy was decent today. Why Kozzie isn’t playing more through the midfield has me scratching my head. Are we overrated. Facts show yes. We once again were flat, had no spark, players weren’t getting to each other like we did. Petty when fit must play down back and right now I’d run with JVR and Fritta as the two forwards then Alice through a resting ruck. We are too tall. Goodwins strength of backing his players and the system is also his biggest weakness.

If we lose to Carltank then all coaches should be sacked immediately post game. Drop Tmac and bring in Hunter. Play Gus in the midfield. We are too tall and slow. JVR and Fritta need the ball loaches to them, not on top of them.

Time to stop persisting with another tall. Fritta, JVR and Gawn/Grundy. That’s it. If he wants to play Tmac or BBB then one of those mentioned has to get dropped. We are carrying too many average players who do too little for far too long. If Harmes plays ffs use him in the best way, he is a tagger, and a good one. If not, play Jordon or some one else. Start searching for a replacement for Stafford so as soon as the seasons done we can sack him and get some one decent in. Yze needs to lift his game too. we prob won’t make top 4 now, or just scrape in, we have about a 5% chance at the flag. We are bog ordinary. Glad I have to work KB cos the filth will slaughter us.

Well, nothings changed. We are still living on past glories. Team is defending well and offering nothing offensively and getting slaughtered on fast movement. Should have changed things last off season and got an actual forward coach, Yze’s stocks are falling. So predictable. Freo changed it up at half time, will Goodwin? I highly doubt it.

Max isn’t fit. He looks a shadow of himself.

I don’t know the article cos I won’t pay for their subs. But I believe we need some changes to our game plan. One Is variety around clearances, less long bombs into the f50 and stronger defensive efforts when they are moving the ball from our f50 to theirs. Oh and not kicking to the left edge of the centre square from kick outs ever single time too.

Look, I’m probably not known for the best choice of words when posting… this may be another prime example of this 😂

How’s the mood/feel of the players?

I always wonder about this as at times we do it and others we don’t. Did Max/Goody say not to help and play the ball and not get sucked in?

Yes he should have received the Free. But he also should have disposed of the ball prior to the tackle which then the tackle doesn’t occur. Then the ump doesn’t make the mistake you are all up in arms about. The first mistake was Tmac’s, if he takes first option then none of this occurs. He is a repeat offender of this and that’s why it’s infuriating.

If Tmac did the right thing and disposed of the ball instead of trying to take the tackler on like he always does and fails then the tackle never occurs. Tmac did a typical Tmac blunder by not doing the smart thing. I don’t care about the suspension, the fact is, He took the tackler on, He cost us a free against (right or wrong decision), he cost us momentum and a goal, He made the umpire make a decision. All these things could have been avoided if at as had half a brain cell functioning when ever he has the ball in his hand, He has zero awareness.

But quite often the umps still pay holding the ball even when players get a toe to it or it’s knocked out in the tackle. And the ump obv didn’t think he hit his head. But all of this could have been avoided if Tmac for once played within his limitations.

To those complaining about the Tmac one. The free was deserved for Tmac doing his usual “I can take on every tackler!” Crud that never works. He cost us momentum and cost us the ball for sheer stupidity.

If you watch the centre square starting points they are pretty much always the same and around the ground we have more numbers defensive side and they usually have a spare on the attacking side. Grundy still doesn’t have the best chemistry with our mids and that’s to be expected tbh, Max has not been anywhere near his normal dominating self post injury. I keep trying to stay positive and hoping we get it right in the last third of the year.

Our coaches cost us that game. Nkt tagging Butters after half time is inexcusable. And frankly idiotic. May kicking in to the same f’ing spot every f’ing time is f’ing dumb. And Yze has been outclassed by other midfield coaches most games this year, sheer talent of Trac and Clarrie paper over this, we get spanked for clearances and like the May kick ins nothing changes. Goodwin, have a look ya nonce, Butters had 40 million touches, you can put someone near him! Tmac, go away. JVR, your over zealous at the player cost us goals. May, never kick in again.
