Yeah he is good, hate the prog stuff they do now. Paradise Lost have always been a fav and I like both his growls and clean. She is a bit weird at first but you get used to her quirks. Done some amazing analysis over the years.

Their latest album is amazing, I rate it up there with their early stuff.

Could always learn vocal warm up lessons, That surely would help.

James Hetfield from Metallica blew his out. But it’s all about warming up and not forcing a sound but what sound you can make. Like Falsetto some have the range/abilty to do so. One of the more interesting vocalists is Dani Filth and he does the black metal style growls but adds a falsetto range to the growls which gives a mix of higher pitched growls. I watch a classical singer/vocal teacher who watches vids and talks you through how they are singing etc, I find it fascinating.

New Drudkh album in a month, Uada are still good, bit pretentious at times tho. Midian is my fav! And it’s funny you saying Cradle is as far as you go, they are pretty far down the road compared to most. im like you, I like groove and lots of tempo changes but some days you just need a full on wall of integrity like Marduk or for insanity purposes the latest Weigedood which is a mind****! Some great gym music is Marduk -Panzer division, Skeletonwitch- Beyond the permafrost, Blood Tsunami - grand feast for vultures. Last two are Black thrash so fast but with lots of grooves and time changes. I did too! 😂

Tbh their prob is as there are so many. I mean Uada worship the old moon gods/cycles, lots of pagan bands etc suldusk from melb are a fav, she sings 95% clean vocals, Drudkh are a Ukrainian band that put music to old Ukrainian poems and folksongs There is a sub genre DBM or DSBM - Depressive (suicidal) black metal which is slow and heavy but eerily beautiful. None is one of the best bands in that genre. Hope I’ve opened your eyes to a different world and I’m stoked to hear you didn’t hate it 😄
  7. Gorgoroth replied to Skuit's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Ha ha that should be sub-genre. And only entry level to those who listen to some metal or punk and looking for something more… next level 😅

What I normally say to people when first hearing extreme metal and especially some facets of it like Gorgoroth is try and hear the vocals as an instrument more than vocals. But then I’d usually use different black metal bands than Gorgoroth to ween people on it, like something from Atmospheric Black Metal sun genre… 😄

Ahhhh, Gaahl was the singer for that, he is my least fav singer, needed to listen to something from Quantos Possunt ad Satanitatem Trahunt That’s my fav album, try Prayer or Rebirth 😃 And big props for listening to them.

Oh yeah Slipknot is the kiddy pool. There has been multiple singers, hope you chose one of the better songs/singer 😬 And there is better (worse?) ha ha

Now do you dare to listen to them? 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🙂😂

Boom! But what is it from Lord of the rings for 10 points! Nope as WCW said it’s a LoTR reference I meant where the band got the name. And Gaahl is still a weird unit, saw him a few months ago, but the band had the name well before Gaahl joined.
  13. Gorgoroth replied to Skuit's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
I will say, if anyone knows the meaning of my user name and where the band got the word from (without googling!) I’d be very very impressed.

Tbh if I didn’t play in the game I wouldn’t want a medallion or a ring. It would be the old “participation” award. We are and always have been a game that everything rides on the GF game.

So another game and another olineman out for the Rams. This time the LT is out for the season. Only our RT has played every game.
  19. Ah yes but people will say a average game he plays is poor. and a good game average etc I don’t get the continual butt hurt, yes he left, players do, we had some come to us that way and we have lost some that way. The “goodbye” message is laughable, yes it was short but so was his excited to be at Freo part. Not all want to write a bloody essay.
  20. The contract should stand for the new club, simple. If the team ie GC want to pay some of his contract fine, but the cats should not have been able to pay the amount across more years.

Yeah Nov 27, 2005, but was on the old site too. Man that’s a long time 🤣
  22. Don’t think they are officially allowed to train before the 6 weeks is up.

Nah when I was choosing the name I was playing a Gorgoroth album, I was born a Dee. Dad wouldn’t have allowed anything different.
  24. Gorgoroth replied to Skuit's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
For me it was easy, it was the band who was playing.

Well I went on Benaud and I have no idea what they were doing? It seemed to want to go multiple times and the jockey kept pulling it back and then it sat at the end the whole race… Baffling.
