Our continuing long bombing to stationary targets is putrid and we have been doing it for weeks and nothing has changed, week after week we do the same dumb kicks. Its idiotic and the good teams are punishing us for it.

Not great but the ball is being dumped on his head. Watch games earlier in the year or last year and the long kicks went more to space than where he is standing.

For weeks we have dump kicked into f50 and teams have waltzed it out, but our defence held strong. With May down that didn’t occur. Our game plan out of defence requires wingers pushing hard, with langers out and Gus at half back we had nothing. Trac is injured, no doubt, so either rest him or he needs to play more forward and actually kick goals, he has the major yips. Gawn doesn’t look Right, Jackson is losing money each game he plays, Bowey fumbled, Rivs hasn’t looked decent nearly all year. Melksham should retire. Brown, fritta and Weid/Tmac will never flourish with long dump kicks. Harmes has been missed. We rely on a good rotation of pressure forwards, Bedford and Melksham do not give that.

Nothing was missing. I just thought Lever was in everything every time the ball went into our backline. I don’t know why you think I’m criticising Clarrie. But I also put more weight on possessions when the game is up for grabs too. And both Clarrie and Lever were good there. It’s just a difference of opinion.

Of course I saw Clarrie, Petty was down, May was quiet, lever killed contest after contest. Ive said here that I think Clarrie will more than likely be our best ever player by careers end. But Lever to me was impassable, when north surged, there was Lever. And I don’t care what the umps do with their midfield award, I value more than possessions (that’s a dig at umps, not Clarrie)

Yep, we did it for one qtr vs one of the worst 3 sides in the comp. For 3/4 of the game we didn’t (in the majority) We should have been better for much longer.

How about in “passing into the f50” or if going long to a area not on their heads. In “crumbers in the forward line” Norf waltzed that ball out when our talls didn’t mark, ie all game. In “Gus to the wing!!!”

Lever was Best on Ground for mine. Went quiet when the game was done but otherwise he killed every contest he couldn’t mark.

It’s near the end of the first qtr and the sight of so many happy Carlscum supporters sickens me so bad.

His toe taps and knock ons are first rate. He is taking the body around contests but not smashing into them and being penalised, just enough to clear slice for others etc. He has matured.

Jackson will be harder to replace than Brayshaw. Is he worth the money now? No. will he be next year? Prob not. But in three years time, if he continues his trajectory he will be worth every cent.

Was there ever a synced MMM call of the prelim? I remember Dunstall losing his [censored] when Gawn kicks the goals but wasn’t sure I heard that somewhere or there was a synced version
