  1. ALL got off... Reprimands to TJ, Davey, and Sylvia
  2. agreed.... fair tackle However the AFL in all their wisdom before the season started said they would be tougher on tackles where the arms were pinned and the player is driven into the ground. IMO they will love the opportunity to impose their new ruling and what better case than the tribunal pinup boy of Byron. It is up to the MFC to contest... take it to the tribunal and watch them throw it out.
  3. bruce out... green in... no risking brock
  4. and an accurate kick... lord knows we need to breed that into his genes.
  5. Oh you did not just go there.... I am not a godfrey basher but damn... bruce's bad kicking puts godfrey's best to shame. That said what a classic effort to shut down the burger! So Bruce is the witch that the people want to burn this week. TJ has just avoided the flames and it looks like all the yze bashers are restless... Overall Bruce has been one of our better players all year and although he plays out a game with a calf strain people start to question his committment to the club. If he is to be out of the team it should be to let him get over his injury (i think they may be waithing for the return of green).
  6. I completely agree. I believe/believed both players have talent enough to cut it at AFL level... Armstrong now looks damaging in West Coast. Let CJ "blossom" as ND described it at the start of the year, give him time and then we will know for sure.
  7. CJ is unlucky to be picked out of that loss against the swans. Armstrong was treated the same way... First to be dropped... Up and down like a yo yo. Give CJ consecutive weeks to prove himself.
  8. You don't think you are over simplifying the issue by over analysing a one line comment made by Robbo? Reading too much into it guys....

    DEES v POWER

Reminds me of the treatment of Arma... he was always the first to be dropped and I felt was never given time to develop his game and gain confidence.
  10. Remove Thompson from that list. Scott left, he was not discarded. Jolly and Simmonds wanted more game time... Tough call, restrict White or play them more? (i'm not saying it was right or wrong.) Arma was a favourite of mine and I was always disappointed that he was one of the first to be dropped if the club played badly. Good on him to fit into the WC team! However I put it to you that a middle grade player looks a hell of a lot better in a top class side. (still think we should have kept him though)
  11. Grazman and Goodvibes.... My new heroes! So good to read something other than "ND must Go!" FWIW I think the team must have read your posts because there was a marked improvement in endeavour last sunday, shame too many supporters didn't bother to show up.
  12. Firstly. If you don't want to go, don't go.... No one's forcing you to support your team, however judging by the frequency of your posts you do enjoy football or at least feel the passion enough to actually do something.... Sure you have other things in your life than football I am pretty sure everybody does (well almost everybody). But you can't even spare 3 hours or so on a sunday to go see your team run out in the red and blue. OK where to begin. Firstly I am not suggesting you showing up is going to help the onfield performance. It is also wrong to try and pin our endemic low crowd numbers back on to the coach and the team's current form. They are seperate issues. We are losing, but the fairweather supporters of the Dees are happy to sit at home and blame everything that is wrong with the club (not just the team) on the coach. Dees supporters are fickle. there i said it. They are happy to show up if there is a chance of a win but when the chips are down we get a lousy 16,000. It is sad to say but other teams supporters show up in the good season and the bad... look at poor old Richmond. (i know most ppl on this site would be there through thick and thin) We are the laughing stock of the AFL, I for one am not looking forward to the mt buller jokes this winter. They are so much harder to put up with when you look around the stands and see their stark emptiness. Correct me if I am wrong but I believe that showing up even though you have a membership still adds to the gate takings for our club. (If anyone can verify?) We are in one of the best financial positions we have been in years and it will be jeopardised should we continue to lose money at each of our home games. This will lead to less money for the football department, more games sold interstate and we will never be able to challenge the interstate clubs if this happens. Whether or not the coach is to blame for the current slump is not what I am arguing. It is easy to get disappointed and the amount of negative posts you write shows how upset you must be. But mate, we are all there with you. It's easy to blame but it's harder to take responsibility. Go Dees!
  13. What about Garland? Davey mentioned his name in an interview yesterday. Bring on CG
  14. happy birthday... and what better present than to line up against the bloods this week! (I hope)
  15. I am afraid I will not let you pin this one on the coach, BB59... It is time to hassle the fans. A pathetic turnout. Really disappointing that the supporters of our fantastic club cannot get off their lazy arses to cheer the boys on through the good times AND the bad. YOUR club needs you there win or lose. The thing that pisses me off in the magpie thread is that if we are not careful they will be right. pull your fingers out demon fans.
  16. Even when the guy plays well too many here cannot accept it at face value. Good work Yze. Find a new witch to burn.

    Green

you hit the nail on the head for me! back to the forward line.
  18. The first post was ridiculous enough.... Demon supporters whinging that their kids aren't getting enough time at FF because Sandringham have one of the best VFL forwards.... Still laughing.... anyone else want to add to this crazy thread?
  19. Of course it was... It was the lead demons story in all the media for the past week and would have continued every time the team showed bad form. There have been several times previously that the ooze should have been the one droppped... IMO this was not one of them. I do not have faith in wheatley or godfrey. If (and I suppose this to be the intention) it succeeds and sends a clear message to all that a place in the Mighty Dees side must be earnt.... then well done. I would like to congratulate Yze on his run of 226 games... This is an enormous feat, I know that he has played through injury and worked hard to get up each week. The question is now.... who gets burnt next?
  20. I too am surprised at the amount of ppl sticking the boot into the coach after 1 game... I remember last year the same people on this site were yelling the same things - fickle fair weather f***kers in my opinion! I am not happy with last weeks performance but am not willing to even consider the death penalty yet. Just my thoughts.
  21. From the article linked above- 'Fagan said the highly regarded midfielder...would probably be up for senior selection within a fortnight' Does this mean monday? I think more likely against Geelong.
  22. On a side note Williams managed to score -1 in the herald sun dream team last week. We have the match ups even should the dorks decide to go three talls. It is control of the midfield, clearances and stoppages that has me worried.
