  1. You might get a gig then...Roaming Nasher
  2. Totes jelly of all those in Melbourne firing up pre-game. At home doing a load of washing and looking after the brats while the wife is at a work function. On the plus side I did make the most of a flying trip to the 'g last weekend...unsustainable behaviour to say the least. Cheer hard folks...go dees.
  3. Partly mullet, partly his Mornington Peninsula (not the good parts of the Peninsula either) heritage. I played cricket with his dad...little bloke but hard as nails. He had a mullet too, although they were all the rage in those days.
  4. Not even a fine for the kicks...utter bs. http://m.afl.com.au/news/2018-09-10/greene-cleared-over-kick-fined-for-kneeing
  5. Looks like the top-right graph is saying Geelong' s heaviest player is ~102kg. Ol' Tomahawk must have only had one foot on the scale.
  6. You're not the only one...a kid two seats in front of me on the SkyBus had a power-vom into a plastic bag just as we were leaving the airport. I'm not a religious man but I was praying that the bag didn't have any holes in it...
  7. At the airport waiting for my flight to Melb. Few other Dees here which is nice to see. Lunch in the city with the brother-in-law. Few beers through the arvo with old mate who's flying down from Cairns for the game. Dinner and drinks with family and then walk to the 'g. Going to take a serious effort to remain tidy by game time. The bye took a bit of the edge off for me...not being in Melb probably contributed too. Feeling it now though, pumped!
  8. Love Bern. Not too many blokes win B&Fs at two clubs. Loved his pointy elbows even though they meant his unsociable brand was always on the borderline of a suspension. Met him at the Interstate supporters function last year (he was guest speaker because he was suspended) and got a selfie with him, Robbo and my good wife. I suggested to her at the time that I'd turn for Bern. Nothing's changed.
  9. And his head is disproportionately large.
  10. Check your mail! My sister was organising tickets for the family yesterday and had much the same story as everyone else...managed to make a booking but it timed out before confirming the purchase. Four hours later she gave up in disgust. Ten minutes ago her tickets from the 'failed' purchased arrived via email.
  11. Just glad I haven't booked my flights to Melb for the game yet...
  12. He has a more suitable head for radio I reckon.
  13. Didn't have that pleasure, but a mate who worked there for a while as an ambo told me a few Maddog stories. On topic, Jesse to kick 6 today.
  14. Sorry about that Uncle. Pillow head is as imaginatively named as all the others...literally a person wandering around with a pillow wrapped around her head. Not a thin hotel pillow either, this one was huge, like a beach ball. I think it made the chroming more efficient and/or protected the noggin in a fall. Saw her a few times in the CBD but then also right out near the airport...
  15. I spent 8 weeks walking around the Perth CBD for work in 2016. Saw some amazing sights (punchup out the front of the Criterion at 9:30am) and some amazing characters (angry skater man, abusive red hat man, creepy dude in window, pillow head, the East Perth TAB crew near the Carlton). I was considering writing a book on the experience but may run into some problems at work re publishing... #perf

This is worth a bump...after 48 days ol Deano made it to Cartagena in Columbia and smashed the South American World Record by 10 days! Now in Panama and cycling on. He's had food poisoning twice, ran into a highway sign at 40km/h (not food poisoning related), and has gone from 88kg to 81kg so far. Bloody Legend!
  17. They'll have to cop it in terms of penalties and being called 'cheats' for the rest of their careers (post-career too). Pathetic news to wake up to. Thank god the footy has started
  18. Bloody father-in-law...apologies for the interruption lads, I'll leave you to it!
  19. Hi all, might be my first visit ever to this thread...so I am happy for this to be taken with as much skepticism as can be expected with an anonymous tip on the interwebs. Father-in-law has 'recommended' Peaceful State in the Randwick Guineas. There's a family connection so maybe he's just being hopeful...

This might be of interest to any cycling fans on here, or just fans of endurance stuff generally. In a couple of days my cousin is about to start a world record attempt at cycling the Pan-American Highway. It's 22,000km from Ushuaia in Argentina to Prudhoe Bay in Alaska. The current record is 117 days and five hours. Dean's aiming for 110 days. He's doing it for charity, trying to raise GBP1million for Heads Together, a mental health awareness charity which seems to be similar to Beyond Blue. Sounds like they're about 1/3 of the way there. Tracking will be available through the main website here, and plenty of background info is also on their facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/pah2018/
  21. We got the same creased Viney poster. My daughter wanted to hang it up in the lounge room, her mum prevailed and it's now on the laundry door (facing inwards though!).
  22. Didn't BenJen say he couldn't go south of the wall? If so, doesn't that rule apply to the other wights and White Walkers? Or can they just not pass through the wall? My recollection of the original dagger used in creating the Nights King was that is was Dragonglass...could be wrong though. Re the annulment, I think you're correct. Ol' Sam was too distracted by talk of steps, windows and bowel movements to pick that up...I wonder if it's in his subconscious though? On Sam, I assume he's head of House Tarley now...does he still have his old man's sword that he stole?
  23. A gloomy castle like Winterfell is the perfect backdrop for Baelish peering around corners in the semi-dark. Arya to wear his face at some stage? Or just slice him up? Happy to see Gendry back, and agree with@nutbean that's an iconic crew heading north of the wall. Has the potential for some superbly profane and insulting chats around the campfire led by the Hound.
