Big day. The boy's U-11 side played in the most atrocious conditions this morning...suffered a gallant loss at the hands of the evil Marist College. Since Marist were top and the Dees are top (I don't count Geelong) then that's the omen for a Demon win. Also, been at the pub all afternoon trying to warm up. Go Dees!

Maybe Harmes had the ear infection as early as last week? His entire game was summed up in his first 'possession' I reckon. Tried to pick it up around his bootlaces, missed it, kicked it by accident (almost out on the full), fell over.

Was down in Melbourne for a week of work in early 2020, just before Covid kicked off and finished early one day so legged it out to Stomping Ground Brewery in Collingwood. Was standing at the bar and realised Neita was next to me. Said hello and told him I was a fan of the Dees and he chatted happily for about five minutes about the Demons and also beer/Brewmanity before he realised the rest of his crew were waiting patiently at their table for their beers. Got a selfie of course...even though I'm too old for that [censored]. What a legend!

We got tickets too! My special lady friend and I making the trek up the highway from CBR for the game...my first Big Freeze. Kids (and dogs) will be left at home....fully expect a disaster zone on return.
