I still have plenty of faithe in Bell. Injuries have held him back from reaching his peak. If he can get his body 100% i have no doubt he can become a very valuable member of the team. Saying bell has no vision is one of the biggest fads going around amongst our supporters. While his vision is not great its certainly not as bad as everyone makes out. More importantly its just one aspect of his game....no one ever talks about the good parts of his game such as his speed, team play, courage, ability to take on the game and ability to run straight at the ball and attack a contest.

i agreed he has played well the last two weeks. Enough to keep him on the list with Meesen and White likely to go. it really looks likely that we will get Warnock from freo so id imagine he and PJ would be the ruck combo with Jamar the next in line if either are injured or out of form. I still dont think Jamar is good enough to be in a premiership side. Look at some key stats from this year. 9 games for 12 kicks! thats less than 2 kicks a game! woeful. And an average of just over 2 marks a game. From a ruckman thats just not good enough, no matter how good he is in the hit outs....i think the best he will be is a serviceable backup ruckman

Dont understand why everyone is turning on Jones. He remains one of our best players. Valenti has proven nothing and hasnt even proved he is worth a spot on the list next year let alone going ahead of Jones! I dont think Valenti will make it, but happy to be proven wrong.

I was thinking of a good way to get young kids more interested. i remember when i was young my dad took me to a training session for the dees and got to watch up front have a kick on the ground afterwards and then they allowd the kids into the rooms after training to meet the players and get some autographs and photos ect. I still have the photo of me and garry Lyon! haha anyway i thought we could have a father son type night where dads, or mothers for that matter, could bring their kids to training and then meet all the players after the game. If they do it 2 or 3 times a year and can get an extra 10 or 20 kids per session hooked on the demons then thats the sort of thing that we need. We need to get young kids in early who are going to be life long members.

rubbish Rhino, past trades mean very little, and comparing ruckman and midfielders is not like comparing apples and oranges...they are both footballers desired by other clubs. Again, like i said, it comes back to an issue of supply and demand...the reason wood and jolly received high picks is because there was few ruckman going around and syd and coll didnt need more young kids as they believed they were on the cusp of challenging for a premiership. So like i said, all we need is to find a club in need of a midfielder such as Bruce and if there are little other options available we could get a very nice pick out of it.

Rhino, what has happened in previous years really has no relevance to players value this year or beyond. Each year is very different and it all depends on finding the right buyer at the right time. For example collingwood gave up pick 14 to get Wood from Brisbane...the same pick that was used to secure TJ...clearly TJ is a lot better than Wood, its just supply and demand issue. Heck We managed to sneak pick 17 for Jolly! clearly he is more than 3 picks behind TJ in value. My point is, if we can find a team who needs an immediate boost, or is in need of one more midfielder, say for example, Stkilda or the Dogs (west is getting on), even hawks or Adelaide, if they think Bruce can potentially get them over the hump i could easily see them giving up a late first round pick for him. And think about it, Bruce playing on a good team like that, where he is not one of the top players, he would suddenly play a lot better than he is now. He is a bit of a front runner...

we have to remember that with the new clubs coming in over the next few years, high draft picks suddenly became a lot more valuable....thus its going to be harder to get a high pick off another club than it was the last few seasons. With that said id agree to looking at a Bruce plus pick 18 to try and get a top 10 pick. It also comes down to the quality of the draft, if the recruiters think there is a few potential stars around picks 5-10 its worth the trade, if there is little difference between picks 5-20 then maybe no need to trade....i guess on the recruiters would know that! i would also not be aposed to trading Brock, or almost anyone for that matter, for the right pick......

i tell you what its probably the most important draft in the history of the MFC. With the new clubs coming in this is our last chance to get picks at the very top of the draft, and with the likely number 1 pick and a couple other high ones we need to get good players out of this draft if we are going to climb out of this hole....all the best to the staff! i have faith!
