I think we should be looking at why our midfielders dont play more like Luke Ball. He gets the free kicks coz he is first to the ball and attacks the ball harder than anyone else. Not to mention he had at least 2 or 3 frees from holding the ball where he laid great tackles. Lets not be sore losers and pretend we got hard done by the umpires. Hopefully our young guys in the middle will have learnt a lot from Luke Ball today.

i think seeing as it is clear that we will not be contenders for at least 2-3 years we should continue to trade some older guys for more picks. My suggestion is trade Cameron Bruce, and maybe one of our 2nd round picks for another high first rounder.....at least i hope the take that approach. Im sure a collingwood or someone would love a cam bruce to help get them over that hump...

id say Chris Johnson has had his chances now. He should be de listed. Obviously Holland, Neitz and Yze will 'retire'. Agreed Bode is not up to it. Unconvinced on Weetra. So id say out Neitz Yze Holland Bode C Johnson Trade Jamar probably still need to get rid of two more. id say Meesen, Weetra, Buckley are all on thin ice and need to perform.

Yze magic i dont know where your man love for Sylvia comes from but you are clearly blinded by your admiration for him. He actually uses the ball very poorly. More often than not he kicks the ball over the head of the intended player and is continually providing hospital handballs to people under pressure. I think he really needs to improve his disposal as he wastes a lot of the too few possessions he gets!!! I really hope he gets better though as we need him to become the player he can.

he is doing a better job at winning the ball, which in part has been his move down back where it is a little easier....disposal is pretty ordinary though....definitely needs to get better

on a serious note IN: should be Rivers Moloney (if fit) Yze and Chris Johnson Out: Bode, Garland and Weetra and of course Davey appears to be injured. I think its too early to give up on the season so get Yze in there and see if he can turn his form around. When its round 15 then drop the old blokes and hand things over to the kids. Also Chris Johnson needs to be tried...surly its his last year if he can not perform. lets put him in and give him a final chance to string some games. Bode weetra Garland need more time to develop. They arnt ready..

id take Nathan Jones anyday....Brock is good, dont get me wrong, but he is too slow and always getting caught.....i also think Jones is more of a leader

Hannabal....thats rubbish....its attitudes like yours that place such unreasonable expectations on travis are always demanding more no matter how much he gives!! That adelaide game was amazing....off his own boot he put us in a winning position for that game. But you blame him for not continuing on in the last quarter? Why dont you just acknowlege the almost superhuman 2 quarters he had just put in and ask what the hell the rest of the team was doing!??!? Why was it all up to travis....he got us into a winning position by giving his all and his teammates were to pathetic to stick up for him and help him out...thats why we lost... I agree....i am having a beer for travis tonight! He has been one of the most harshly criticised players ever to play for us. Everyone always thinks because he was the number 1 pick with a lot of talent that he should have dominated every game.....thats just not fair. He has been a magnificent player who has had a lot of bad luck with injury!! I cant speak for others but i know dozens of time ive woken up and thought i cant be bothered going to the footy today....and its been the thought of getting to watch travis that keeps me coming back. It will be a lot less exciting with him gone. I hope he has an excelent last few years with the lions! Thanks for the good times travis

Very very stupid move by the club. We just lost any chance we had at competing for a premiership in the next 2 years or so. I feel sick just at the thought of this trade....this club and its supporters have been terrible to TJ...we dont deserve him....i hope he tears us apart next season and the powers at be realise what a stupid trade it has been!!

If we loose Travis Johnstone and Pick 4 we have been totally ripped off!! With pick 4 we would have a virtually guarenteed A grade player and Travis is already a proven match winner and most importantl player we have IMO and in his prime. Judd is good dont get me wrong but not worth that much!!! I know everyone is Judd crazy but seriously that would bea huge mistake. TJ should be untouchable. Id rather loose a Bruce or Green. Judd and TJ would be an amazing duo in the midfield...both brilliant in such different ways...they would be unstoppable and finally TJ wouldnt get the number 1 tag each week which would enable him to flourish! PLEASE MFC KEEP TJ! Get Judd some other way....

I dont see what the fuss is?! Im a Newton fan i think he has a lot of potential. But he has hardly dominated. He has played two good games in the last 2 weeks but before that he was certainly not knocking the door down for selection. Hes a young kid and i think he needs to be consistantly very good at VFL level before he gets promoted. Key forward role is hard to play for anyone let alone a 19/20 year old. I think danners is doing the right thing. If he isnt dominating week in week out at VFL level hows is he going to play well week in week out at Senior level? He has to learn more before he is a senior player. Another couple of weeks with bags of 4 or 5 and he may get a go.

FINALLY!! Jamar is dropped with Paul Johnson getting the nod as the backup ruckman. Ive been wanting this for ages!! Good on PJ hopefully he can take on the challange of sementing his spot as our 2nd ruckman better than Jamar did. Jamar had a million chances and just never got any better! GO PJ!! goodluck

we know your are speaking ur mind and telling us your oppinion....its just that your oppion is stupid. Its a well known fact the bell is one of the fastest players on our list, yet u call him slow. You say he doesnt read the ball well yet he has been our best backman so far this season, a position where only those who read the play well can thrive. You may have seen him get run down at times and thats not because hes slow, its because he takes chances and takes on tacklers rather than give off a silly handball to someone else under pressure. He actually stands up and has a crack!! Additionally he was slowed in previous seasons by injuries in particular his OP which limited the use of his speed. Pay more attention at games occo...

occo and jacey do you even watch the games? occo go to another club? he has been in our best 10 players easily thus far and has a huge upside too. You extreamly foolish (we cant call people idiots any more) And jacey he has hardly been tried in the midfield...maybe ever so briefly when he was first at the cclub but a lot has changed since then. And i think all of you underestimate his work amongst traffic. He has done some good work in close clearing it from the blackline and DEFINATLY has the skills to make it in the midfield. I look forward to telling both of you "i told you so" before the season is out! Don
