Nice! Plenty of respect there, always had a soft spot for the Hammers. Loved the Redknapp era and enjoyed the Alan Pardew team with Benayoun, Mullins, Gabbidon that made the FA Cup final. As you say though it is very hard to follow a club in that position. The only real hope is a dream run in a cup tournament. Definitely wouldn’t rule out a super Euro league. If it means money of course it will get looked at.

Seems they are putting a few eggs into the Terence Williams basket. Also get a feeling they desperately want Tavon Austin to be their surprise packet Swiss Army knife. I don’t care much for preseason either apart from getting necessary reps. It’s funny because a girl I work with is a Texans fan and she was telling me yesterday how annoyed she was when they missed an extra point to tie and go to overtime last week. I’d rather the 1 point loss anyway in preseason.

Well that was unexpected. Leicester pressed up and really took it to them, probably ended up the better side on the day. But you gotta grind those ones out and Liverpool did. Who’s your EPL team Macca?
  4. I found it really easy to show Oscar some respect after training today when up close to all 196cm of him.

Liverpool supposedly in the group of death. It’s a tough group no doubt, PSG and Ancelotti’s Napoli. Meanwhile 1-0 over Leicester currently
  6. Nicely done. And speaking of which those $6 soft serves better have been good!
  7. That’s crap. I also feel like one now after reading this.

I need to remember to read this thread a lot more. Some very tasty soccer picks there. Quick multi before hitting the hay.
  9. We don't, that is true. Fair enough on Pedersen, I see your point.
  10. Last year there may have been games where he could have played VFL, this year I don’t think so, getting more games into him has been a good thing for him. Interesting the comparison with Pedersen as they are in very different parts of their careers.
  11. Just heard Barlow interviewed then on Maclure’s show. Always had a soft spot for the guy, such a great story and just had relentless work rate. Would love to see him get another go at Carlton or something but it looks unlikely.
  12. I haven't been as sad about a retirement for a long time.
  13. Excellent season from Oscar. Feel like he got a bit better and more confident each week. Crucial piece.
  14. And how!
  15. Surely the middle tier counts. Everyone has stars, everyone has youngsters but that middle group has to be what wins it.
  16. Anything in particular?
  17. Did he break the Adelaide camp saga or at least some part of it?
  18. Thank you for everything Bernie. Your contribution will never be forgotten! Always welcome at MFC. Very sad that its over though

Geez man I don’t know, it’s late! 3 facts: 1. Gaff is considering his future 2. North will offer big money 3. Tom Morris is a total charlatan
  21. Yep, very encouraging.
  22. Paywall but I think I get the jist of it.
  23. The legions of doom.
