  1. Yep, this is true. Perspective is a good thing.
  2. Why I'm going on about Darwin has little to do with the result. They are a better team, but that heat was absolutely not for footy. The sweat was so bad that the ball being a bar of soap to us was an understatement not to mention our guys are going to lose 5 kg and this WILL have an impact on our conditioning next week. We had zero support and were completely outnumbered in the crowd. Hey if you want to keep the Darwin game and have some good arguments for it be my guest but currently I see no benefit of it to us whatsoever.
  3. Adios to Darwin. Would rather play two in the Alice
  4. Got a footballing lesson tonight, we'll learn from it. See ya later Darwin it's been real.
  5. I would love it if we just lifted in the second half to lose by under 4 goals.
  6. Stupid thing to say but it annoys me how we're running into teams like this where as Richmond get a nice bloopy tomorrow when they need it.
  7. To say we were right in it is just wrong. We lifted that quarter but if we're not careful it will be a shilacking. Just hope we keep fighting
  8. Taking his chances at least. Credit to Wagner for his ball attack
  9. Would be nice if we could kick over a flowerpot..
  10. Locked out of the fun house. He jumps the back fence and crawls through the doggy door. Love it!
  11. Think he was a little down tonight but his value to the team is unquestionable. The off the ball stuff, the experience and leadership he brings. I think there's some good opinions being brought forward here and it's great to discuss but if you honestly think he's done nothing to help the midfield group this year and if you think our unit was as strong last year without him then I'm not sure we're watching the same games. If one of our guys gets targeted by the opposition like Oliver at HT tonight he's the first in there and getting in their face. The culture is changing at Melbourne and he is playing a part in that. i didn't expect Paddy Dangerfield performances when he came across. I expected a guy who is past his prime to offer value in progressing our mids. Has he had some down games? Yes. Will he make it to the 3 years? I don't know, maybe not. Is he doing what we got him for? Yes
  12. Don't wanna be that cynical guy but it's hard not to. I'll be surprised if Viney gets through the weekend without being 'sighted'
  13. I just love that here's so many others here who have been through all the dark times and know what this means
  14. I've finally calmed down. I was too nervous to even post here during it, un-be-lievable. There's something about this group and there's something building. Enjoy it guys!
  15. Won't ever forget the 9 2nd half goals against Collingwood at the g. Magic
  16. Unbelievable, just unbelievable
  17. I'm a very big fan of Kent but I have to agree. Turned it up
  18. Well written. I do feel for the people who are frustrated and impatient. I'm one of them, but is it worth all the energy? I know how it goes, a lot of us are desperate. There is the fear that we (those who missed 64) will go through our whole life without tasting success. It is scary, but at the same time, it's kind of silly. As proper dee said it is a learning curve, these psychological issues we face can't be fixed overnight in my opinion. It's ok to feel frustrated but I guess what I'm saying is go easy on the team but probably more importantly go easy on yourselves.
  19. Probably. Still impressive though, Remonds me of a group work email thread I've had going for about the same time period
  20. I just want to say this thread is absolutely incredible
