  1. I love the Adelaide Oval idea. Turn it into a fortress!
  2. Come on West Coast towel them up.
  3. I look at that club during that period and see the hard decisions that were made more so than the one veteran out of 5 they decided to keep on for another year. It's a good example of retaining a veteran but still a forward thinking club culture.
  4. Fair enough but a Blues win would have had them level with us. Definitely a good result if they could have knocked off Collingwood as more places in the 8 would have been up for grabs but with Carlton having some winnable games coming up that could have been iffy.
  5. Was lost for words, such a joke.
  6. Hope there's a goal line blunder.
  7. I would really hope we can find a way to do this and would love it if we can make it happen, just seems like the circumstances will make it very difficult. All comes down to the list manager and how next season will be played I guess.
  8. Beats a game and a half break on us.
  9. The guy can play, has a bit of much needed speed too. He also just has those natural smarts and knows where to be.
  10. Wow, so on 7 News tonight one of the stories will be the action the AFL are taking after a goal line 'blunder' in our game. Absolutely unbelievable, storm meet teacup.
  11. Just do a draw
  12. Simple question really, what do we want to stand for? Do we want to be hell bent on making finals and taking the club another step forward or do we want to get a legend of the club to 300 games and honour him the way he deserves? I'm not suggesting anyone is wrong for wanting one or the other but I feel it usually comes down to one and rarely both. I'd love nothing more than to see him get there and as many others have said if it weren't for list changes I'd say he'd have done enough for another year but at this stage I'd say he's up against it.
  13. I'm not even convinced a goal line camera would have been able to see a finger bend back in better clarity than the angles we saw. Pretty confident they would have gone back to umpire's call anyway. Not that it matters but I've watched the real time footage from that view it looks like the ball bounces and hits the ground over the line then touched. Of course I'm willing to admit there's an outside possibility the ball was only 80% over the line and therefore touched but how any of these experts can definitively jump to this conclusion from the same footage is just silly.
  14. Surely Lockhart back in.
  15. Love Veritasium vids! This one didn't disappoint either.
  16. The problem is that time and time again we only seem to made aware of these things after a controversial incident. If the AFL was hell bent on having score reviews there needs to be standards adhered to and resources made available across all AFL games. It really needs to be as standard as having enough goal umpire flags on hand and at the ground or making sure the white lines are painted correctly. To me saying they didn't have a goal line camera is really just saying that in the Alice they only have 3 goal umpire flags so he could only wave one.
  17. Thank you Andy, Trac could easily have had 2 marks late in that game that were both called touched in a time where any jugglers seem to be paid marks. Very little talk about it and I thought Trac did well to defy the possible no call and kick the goal anyway.
  18. And spare a thought for Shane Warne who said on 360 the other night that the sure thing was that the Saints would smash the Demons. Will have to just sit in his house laughing at the parody of himself hes become while drinking bottle after bottle of his new cologne.
  19. Gutsy win! It's the games like this that change the narrative slowly, I sat there at the start of the 4th quarter feeling like last week and just resigned to being trodded all over. Enter the missing pieces we never had before and one of them was that man May! This guy was the best player on the ground by the length of the Sturt Highway, Flemington Straight, Bass Straight (who cares I've had a few whiskys). Apart from Trac of course. He had his quiet moments but when he was called upon he delivered in style every single time. Even before the 'controversial' goal at the end it seemed like he could have easily had 1 or even 2 marks paid. There is nothing stopping this kid right now and if you want to get in his way make sure you're prepared for the nice view of the beautiful Alice night sky while lying on the ground with boot marks all over you. I thought Rivers played a massive part, when we needed to just hit targets out of the backline he did it, no questions asked. Salem was at his silkiest and I love seeing him running through the middle. Melksham had some nice kicks early but then stunk up the joint a little. Langdon has really come into his own and is almost like a wing sweeper just mopping it all up. Kicked very well tonight too! Oliver was average for 3 quarters but my word did he step up in the last. 10 possessions and 6 contested in the last quarter. There will be times when players like Clarry will be well held, but that ability to break through and play the penultimate quarter like your life depends on it. Amazing stuff. Some guys weren't at their best but cbf discussing that right now. I'll say it again, an important win for this footy club going forward. Go get em! I'm too tired now, see you all later and much love, not even gonna make it to watching the Community Shield at 1:30, gonna be a replay job tomorrow morning. Bye!
  20. Money going firmly where mouth is. Donation made. Would actually be up for the pledge per win thing till the end of the season, might have to be slightly smaller increments though
  21. Pretty much bang on. I was not confident about Wagner but I thought he played a decent game in the end. While it wasn't Gawn's best performance he certainly battled hard and did everything possible.
  22. I was worried about tonight. I felt they were likely going to end up on the same wing and Hill would somehow pull out a ripper performance. As you said Langdon just patrolled that wing and actually kicked quite well tonight! If he's not the pickup of the year he has to be in the top 2 at very least.
  23. It was something I was cringing watching wondering when we were going to make a mistake but our composure did shine through. Rivers really helped in this area. A massive test passed with flying colours, we successfully managed to kill the clock!
  24. Hahahahahahaha *Breathes in* hahahahahahahaha. Sure Rats, your x-ray vision was good on the field but not this time!
  25. Tonight spoke volumes that had probably already been said but seriously if Stephen May isn't playing tonight or has a honker we lose, plain and simple. The guy is making a bloody good case.
